i basically got mine for the same price through jc whitney on a price match... don't forget shipping ;)
-
you coulda probably picked up a couple of the fresh dead at a deep discount :brows: can't get any fresher than that....

lol... i went back into photobucket and rotated em... that annoys me too... Yea its a new carpet kit from JC Whitney. (Auto Custom Carpets) Got it for 124 bucks shipped and received it in 2 days... It worked out great being molded and all, came with new jute padding on the back.. It is a pain to locate and cut the holes for the seats tho I thought that'd be easy to do ,, well on mine that is, because my truck has studs that stick up from the floor.. :dunno: Beleive me I know,,, Ive been doing alot of wiring, fuse box work and those suckers get on my nerves!!! well, they're easy to find but the padding on the back makes it hard for the studs to come through easily... plus you have to cut holes for the seat belts, and trim off all the excess (they give you about 6 inches of extra on all sides). You have to be precise though because one mis-cut and you'll end up short... More time consuming than anything I guess.. Good to know man! I'm planning on getting a new carpet for my truck,,, here's the place, and its only like 2 hours away from me They sent me some samples and their carpets look GOOD!! Yea, i looked at a couple sites for carpet and couldn't muster the gonads to order from places I've never atlease heard of. I actually had to return one carpet kit to JC Whitney because I wasn't happy with the color (dark gray) turned out to be like a blue gray. Anyways, JC whitney returned it no problem and shipped me out the replacement (charcoal)

I'm fortunate to have a nice fabric shop around that has a whole building devoted to automotive stuff.. They have a kick @$$ headliner material for about 8 bucks a yard. Even has a thin padding on the back... Got a little hi-temp spray adhesive and stuck it to the old headliner board. Pretty easy and turned out good as new

vzehler replied to SuperWade2's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I wouldnt recommend doin a whole lot of scrubbin... I definately forks up the fibers of the material... get it all knappy looking... I'm telling ya.. pressure washer is the time tested sure bet for you... You can even pressure wash them with the covers still on... its just gonna take them a few days to dry.. -
Bucket Seat "Skins" - Can you Wash em?

even better.... if you have access to a pressure washer.... hang em up, soak them with cleaning chemical of your choice, and spray them from top to bottom... They will come cleaner than if you put them in the wash machine. (I have tried both.) Then on the vinyl parts, spray them with the cleaner and use a light bristled brush to scrub it to get the dirt out of the nooks and crannys. The washing machine kinda bathes the covers in their own muck... Also, with the washing machine you run the risk of damaging your zippers and even possibly ripping the vinyl.... -
btw... you should re-post this over in jeep forum... pirate 4x4... jeeps unlimited... and just about every other forum you can think of...

I left the computer last night with Steph exactly 300 in the lead.... We've lost some ground...

having one custom built defeats the purpose of bestbuy giving me a junkout for free...

i put in about 10 votes

Well, after my HP laptop burnt up it's third hard drive and motherboard, Best Buy has offered me a "junkout" on their no lemon policy. I originally paid $1,699 for my laptop and they pretty much are letting me take that original purchase amount toward any computer I want or will "swap it out" with something comparable for free. I figured the best option will be to use my original purchase price toward a new laptop. I've narrowed it down to two choices. Which direction would you guys go? Seems like the Dell has a .10 gig faster processor and a bit better resolution on the screen but the ASUS has more memory and a few other options. Just a toss up for me and I'm having a hard time deciding. http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp;jsessionid=CURO5JWLFJ0EJKC4D3EFAHA?skuId=8703423&type=product&id=1199495191529 http://www.bestbuy.com/site/olspage.jsp?skuId=8906188&type=product&id=1213046768863

so is it worth the time to take it out and swap it? or is it just another transfer case?
-
Can someone school me on the np242 j transfer case. I saw one in a scrap yard thats sitting in a 89 cherokee. Noticed it has 4 part time, 4 fulltime and 4lo. I would consider it a rare find because I have never seen one. Is it a transfer case thats highly sought after or a good swap for the np231? I didn't pull it, but they only want $54.99 plus tax for it. Thank for any help in advance

id love a set if the price is right... but I don't know how I could arrange for shipping.... I don't mind dirt because I can clean them up... but I really need them to be rip and cut free.. I'm interested in the gray set.

From what i understand based on a 60 minutes thing I watched. Apparently, Sesame Street and the Muppets and what they "taught" kids is not acceptable in todays day and age. Which is a crock of bull  Example. "The earliest episodes of Sesame Street are being made available on DVD, but the NYT notes Volumes 1 and 2 carry a rather strange warning: 'These early 'Sesame Street' episodes are intended for grown-ups, and may not suit the needs of today's preschool child.' So why are they unsuitable for toddlers in 2007? Well, in the parody 'Monsterpiece Theater,' Alistair Cookie — played by Cookie Monster — used to appear with a pipe, which he later gobbled. 'That modeled the wrong behavior,' explained a Sesame Street executive producer, adding that 'we might not be able to create a character like Oscar [the Grouch] now.'" What is the world coming too? Happy 4th of July people

I sent my pops out on the hunt for a set of pre-97 bucket seats out of a 2 dr and sure enough he came home with a pretty nice set. Now that I'm getting into working on them they have a different style set of brackets that Ive not seen before. They came out of a 96 2dr and normally from what Ive seen the mounting holes in the front are connected as well as the back. On the ones he got, the front and back mounting holes are connected on the rail itself. Can anyone offer any insight as to whether or not these will work for me? I'm sure I can figure something out, but, its probably not going to be as easy...

YOU CAN DOO ITTTT! Should be able to knock that list out in a few evenings after work..

I was looking into purchasing one for my MJ. Anyone know of a company that offers one for the MJ's or another model that would fit properly?
-
He said a hellofalot just to tell someone something that they should already know ;) :laughin: $2500 - $3000 will likely be high end right now...especially since you are in the South East. The guys up North & West seem to get higher prices. What can I say? I'm detail oriented. :dunno:
