What you can't see is the 2006 Jeep liberty FSM that is around 150MB in PDF and actually has just over 6000 pages. Yes 6k pages.

Thanks but I got it taken care of already.

Not hardly, I have over 2k in it now after parts, fees, and new tires.

Old bumper off: Left bumper bracket got a little messed up, pretty typical to see: Frame side tab straightened back: this is the donor bracket off a parts jeep.....the guy was a drunk who trashed it, his idea of a new bumper was to throw on an I-beam I guess: New bumper and end caps on, fitment checked, looks good! I guess i'll prime everything just because I can: First coat of color, notice that it doesn't completely cover everything, just enough that it will stick and not run, the first coat should always be light, then when its good and tacky you can shoot your next coat. Second coat, first 100% coverage: Third coat 100% coverage: First coat of clear, one again very light and grainy, enough that you get the clear to stick(clear loves to run), and when its good and tacky you can lay top your full coats: Second coat of clear 100% coverage: Closeup of end cap:

Really? You mean this: Doesn't look like this:

lol ya, already spent plenty of that on a mortgage and bills, thats ok, I like paying bills and knowing I don't owe anyone anything for another month where I need not worry about paying something. I picked up some used tires for the new jeep today, even then they were still $80 each plus some fess, came out to about $370 for 4 75-80% tread Micheline 235/75/15 tires, oh well, hopefully they ought to help the jeep sell.
-
So I spent about $2460 today, $1450 of that was for a Jeep, but the rest of that was parts and gas. Oh and $3 for a chicken bake at Costco. Man it sure is easy to spend money. Much harder to make it.

Thats a damm good deal you got there!

I'd buy whichever one made me fell less insecure about my small penis. That or a bright yellow hummer, instead of my bright yellow jeep.

My engine is cleanest since its brand new.

The 97+ windows are different. EDIT: Thanks though!

Oh man, I wish I had a nice fat paycheck right now, there have been several houses in my neighborhood that would have been great investments, I live in a college town and my nieghborhood is going to more and more college rentals, really a decline from the "nice" neighborhood status, but good for me in terms of my investment. My buddy was living in his dads place, 2 car garage, multi level, giant backyard and a walk out basement. I think it sold for something like 170, a 30 year FHA would have been less than what you can rent the place for. Would have made a great investment if I had the money.

Front bumper and end caps, if the end caps are Ok then I will use a good red bumper I have here, if the end caps are kinda rough ill just grab new end caps and a bumper and shoot them red, I have the paint here already from a red one I did 6 months ago. Looks like the small window on the door on the drivers side is broken out, that window is always phucking broken into, which also means its the hardest to find, I have plenty of clear windows here but not a tinted one for that, if someone would just bust out any of the other windows it would be less trouble.

I posted all of mine, partially just to show what the hell is going on with the wiring, but realistically anyone thinking to undertake this sort of project ought to have the wherewithall to use the same resources that we did to make their own wiring diagrams, if they get into it thinking that they can just look at yours then the project is doomed anyways.
-
Ya plus you gotta realize the 97+ dash conversion is a pretty big project in and of itself, throw in some things like custom motor mounts, transmission mounts, driveshafts, etc etc etc and its enough to scare 99% of people off. Terra and I both know the intracacies of the wiring for each job, once we break it down and go through the wiring diagrams wire by wire its a little less daunting. Most people just go "screw electrical, I don't understand it" which means they are never going to undertake this sort of a project. I have files saved where I literally went through pin by pin on connectors to figure out what needs to go where, it took some figuring, but now I have it down to a couple of dozen wires that need to be connected from the XJ body wiring to the KJ diesel engine wiring.

My gawd, I spent so much time fighting an oil filter today. Even the screwdriver didn't work, finally gave up, went and bought a filter wrench that fit the filter, and even then I was just barely able to get that sucker off with a ratchet on it torqueing it all I could. That SOB was on tight.

87/00 Comanche Classic Diesel LWB 4 X 4
Sir Sam replied to b16gsr's topic in Member Projects: Your Comanches
Actually if you do this right you can keep that diesel cluster 100% functional. you will need a gasser PCM or diesel ECM/gateway, tie your couple of sensors into that module, and it will transmit that information via the CCD bus to the UK guage cluster. That is if you want it to appear stock on the inside. I have similar issues with my swap, but I need to use a TJ guage cluster since 02+ TJs use the PCI bus.
