  1. I agree also that kids today need (and WANT, believe it or not) discipline but today's parents are scared to for fear of the courts and jail time. Have yall noticed that almost ALL of the "child experts" either are fresh out of college and/or have no children of their own. My Dad tore my butt up many times but to this day I DO NOT consider it being abuse, he got my attention so I wouldn't do something worse. Everyone wants to point their fingers at someone else and say "it's their fault......" I will too, it's my Parent's fault that I have never been arrested, I am responsible for my actions, never have been in any serious trouble, support myself and my expensive habits (food, shelter, lights, etc). I drove a school bus several years ago and didn't have any trouble out of the kids (for the most part) once they realized what was expected from them as far as their behavior was concerned, they showed me respect for what I was doing for them and that respect was returned to them and even today when I see one of "my kids" they stop and talk to me, not bad for a "mean ole bus driver" huh ? Oh, and this was done without laying one finger on any of them, you'd be surprised how quick they come around when Momma has to carry them to school.
  2. I just wonder how many will get THIS one..... "Do you mind if I smoke while you eat?" (with mouthful) "uh uh"
  3. First of all, a BIG SALUTE to those men and women in all of our Armed Forces where ever they may be  and where and whenever they served. I served in the Army '79-'83 as a field radio repairer 31E, 2 years in Germany followed by 3 weeks at Ft Bliss Texas then reassigned to 124th MI Bn (CEWI) Ft Stewart Ga (The Military Intelligence unit I was in had nothing to do with undercover investigations by the MP's but we were/are vital in combat communications)

    Hmmm....

Are ya blind?? :chillin: Can't you see the GOLD paint on it ??
  5. Hey Fubar, I know where you are comin' from with the bus , I used to drive one too but now when I get cut off I have to worry about not creaming them with a 30 ton tandem dump truck
  6. Not an MJ story here, still getting it ready for the road :wrench: but I thought yall might like this one. When my son bought his first car (at age 15, he paid for it) a '54 Caddy, folks travelling the other direction on the highway would often run off the road as we passed (guess they didn't want to get punched by those steel bullets on the front bumper)

Don't know how to do the quote thingy: WahooSteeler........well the Steeler part 99.9% of you already know or can figure out. So one of my famous Fresh Pine Air Fresheners to the one who can correctly identify the Wahoo part. Not sure of either the Wahoo or the Steeler but I'm thinking of the fishing angle (no pun intended)
  10. Hey, whats that white stuff all over the tires ?? :brows:

I'm game for this.... with 200,000 "Wolfman"s out there I figured I'd need something a wee bit more original (yes, I have long hair with a "solar panel" up top and a beard), and the 48 is my age now. I usually put my zip code for the number though. Just bought, for my birthday, an '89 SporTruck for hauling stuff, to tow my boat, and the economy of a 4 banger.
  13. My shifter knob is broken also and already have the replacement for it, a golf ball that is presently on an old riding mower shift lever. Now is that original or what ?
