  3. i don't understand what ur saying. it should be pretty straight forward. remove air filter, tb and linkage remove intake and exhaust mani as i think they share same mounting bolts. remove head. have broken bolts removed, head cleaned and new valve guids installed. put back together with proper tourque values in reverse manor. correct? what do you mean by (coolant pissing all over?)

  11. i have an 87 2.5 4x4 with an auto trans. the trans pan gasket is leaking. looks like it's just permetexed on. should i buy the gasket and use it by itself or just the permetex or both? looks like a pretty straight forward job. any thing i should be concerned aboutwhen doing it?

  17. i know 10,000 is way high, or is it? u guys tell me. it is really clean, inside and out. black bench seat, and colum shift. i assumed it's an auto, but could it be a colum manual? no right? it is 4x4 and the plow says jeep on the drivers side in red letters. plow is very clean too.
  18. saw an 84 jeep pick up w/ a plow that also said jeep on it today for sale. extreemly clean. peered through the window and it looked like 190 something on the clock. was this a comanche? it had no comanche badges, only jeep. down side is, the price was 10,000 obo. snapped a couple cell pics and i'll get them up tomorrow. here it is.
  19. ebay is getting 100 just for the grill. i guess you can get what ever someone is willing to pay.

  21. now see, this is what i'm talking about. oh boy, i can remember back in the day when we used to drive around (and please, i know it's wrong but us old heads all did it) with a beer between our legs throwing the cans in the bed. why we even used to drop m80's out the window so they would go off next to our buddy's car who was chasing us down. times where different then. law enforcement would take your beer and your keys and return an hour later and give you your keys back, tell you to get the hell out of here and we would. the good old days.
  22. the only thing i really miss, would be a power window for the pass side. other than that, i fine with all the manual stuff. but then again, i still hand grind my coffee too. :)
  23. section 2A-6 and 7 in haynes manual. Hi 54bobby, thanks that solves that mystery. Where can I find the reassembly instructions? I have a hayes but I don't think it goes into much detail.
  24. the reassemble proceedure consists of wrapping teflon plumbers tape around only the # 8 head bolt when reassembling. the orange might be that. as for the wholes :???:
