Hey. I finally got to start on the axle and found the left side coil spring/shock bracket was soo rotted it had holes. I brought it back in time to get store credit . So i am now waiting to get another one from everetts. but i will definatly keep this info saved for future reference when i get another one.

Thanks alot guys. This is the best info i need. Thats why i couldnt figure out why the ujoints were same part numbers. Thats great that i can save and use a bunch of parts from my 90 axle. Thanks again!

Got 2 questions. One is can i use my 90 dana 30 knuckles on a 96 xj dana 30 i just picked up? They look rusty and wanted to know if they will fit. Also how come supposably 96 and up has bigger u joints. But when i go to autozones web site there the same part number for all? Any info be helpful. Thanks.

Hey thought id see if anyone waNted to go to everetts in brockton mass to give a hand to pull an axle for my truck. Since It was cheap enough. It be great help if be able to give a have pulling it. I have a 242 tcase in my truck and still have a 90 xj axle under the front. I installed a cable lock kit for the front axle for now. My axle has been leaking for a while out of both sides. I will eventually replace it with a 98 and up dana 30. I love having all wheel drive. I just set it and forget it when either winter is here or when I go offroading.

hi. its worth a shot plus don't have much money. i am tring to find wheel spacers with studs for 5lug 4.5 bolt pattern. in need of 1 inch for front and 1.5 inch for rear. money is tight cuz I'm gettig married soon and can't turn all the way to the left with my steering upgrade that ive had in my truck for a year now. thanks. mike :wrench:

Sorry for stealing your thread. I have a problem with my axle seals. I replaced the upper and lower ball joint and axle shaft with new ujoint on my pass side. . I got kinda rushed with limited time to repair those worn parts. I now have lots of gear oil coming out of my pass side. It is a 90 vacumn disco axle. Is there a seal in the shift fork part of the housing that is easy to replace? If not what do i need to do to fix this problem. Its leaking bad and wanna fix it soon. Thanks.

i have like 1/4 in spacers on all 4 wheels on my truck and have had no problems. but i really want to get real spacers because of my upgraded steering system cuz i can't turn all the way to the left with my 03 liberty steel 16 inch wheels.

or. maybe meet up one day and check out your setup and ya kool mj. :cheers:

hmmm. i like that idea. u got any pictures of your setup? it would def help with better setting it up once i get some money to play with.

hey. i have an 87 mj that i put an ac compressor in so i could convert to on board air. does anyone know a basic setup i can do for cheap money? just basically looking to use to air back up when i finish off roading for now. i can't remember the name but it is the one where it uses 2 bolts to secure it to the motor.

My oil gauge always sticked at like 60 when cold for few years when i change the cluster to a full package. Now i found that i had to add afew quarts of oil to it and is now reading almost to zero but does move some. I think it may be the gauge itself but not sure. I don't hear anything wrong with the motor. Need some help. If it maybe the gauge wasnt there a member that rebuilt them and sold them?

Hey I'm looking for 1inch spacers for front and 1.5inch spacers for rear with 4.5 bolt pattern both ends. don't have much money. I have an upgraded steering kit and when turning left just past half way it hits the rim. I have 16inch libertys with very small spacers. Thanks.
