  1. I'm loving the bumper right now. I'm going to have to weld shackle tabs on myself b/c i didnt get that option. it seemed a little bit steep price for 5 minutes of work on the bumper. $50 bucks for shackle tabs i think from quadratec installed on the bumper. The flare trimming wasnt very hard either. took 15 mins. and it looked really nice and covered up in the end. but you may not need to trim as mine are farther forward than stock due to fender trimming to fit 33"s. Ill take pics and post them.
  2. summer in maine. is that camper in ur avatar on ur mj. it looks like a cool setup. what kind of suspension mods did u have to make? PS sry for the off topic rant
  3. Not only does it not have an NSS (only in the autos on Jeeps) but even if it did it wouldnt be the problem because NSS stops the starter from cranking.
  4. Ok, i didnt realize the truck was starting at all (I should really start reading more into posts b4 posting  ). it is not neccisary to do that then. the starter is fine. i have no clue where to go from here since it is pop starting fine and the starter is turning over. Idk really know what the problem is from here. My dads xj had a problem where the fuel pump was priming but wouldnt stay up to pressure so it took an eternity of cranking to start it. But this still doesnt sound right. :???:
  5. I donat think it is ur starter if it is cranking. if it is a stick u can test and see if the gear in there is moving in and out of place as it should by cranking it on a flat slope and seeing if the car rolls forward. However, DO NOT let it roll off of the starter crank for more than a few seconds because it is really bad on ur starter. will it pop start (only if it is a manual)?
  6. it looks like u broke the axle shaft also when u broke that u joint!!!!!
  7. I assume that this is the same for most replacement rock bumpers. So i thought id post... First, I am adding a Warrior Products rock bumper i found on Quadratec. here's whats replacing the stock bumper. These are the brackets that held on the stock bumper. I don't need them anymore as the new bumper mounts direct to those 3 hex bolts. The bracket removes by removing those three hex head bolts along with a t50 torx bolt in the wheel well. needed to do some flare trimming. I used a box knife with a new blade to slice through it. here's how it looks with the final install. I had to bore out the mounting holes in order to mount the new bumper. sry no pics of that.

  9. Yes, this is exactly what I'm talking about. i think ill break the studs off and put on nut and bold assemblies on.
  10. sweet truck. we should go on a trail run sometime.
  11. I'm working on the front, and ill post pics of what was spinning. its the stud portion that is just spinning on the outside of the flare (not sure if that explanation makes any sense) :dunno:
  12. Yeah I'm surprized too. I'm not sure if I'm putting them back on or not yet, but it sounds like thats one of the only options right now. Maby i can modify it to fit normal bolt and nut assemblies on?
  13. so i just got my passenger side fender flare off with no problems using a 10 mm socket. however, now i am on the drivers side and every bolt is just spinning. now what do i do?
  14. what year is it? welcome to the club. it looks like u have the deluxe guage cluster. NICE!!!!!
  15. I would be willing to buy one! :D
  16. Yeah, i definitely want to tie it into the frame. I saw a thread for frame tie in brackets earlier on the tech forum, was that for this kind of application?
  17. where did u get that switch for the ECTED! that looks really nice in there. i think ill wire my off road lights through one if i can find one.
  18. Oh, i thought i had to tie it into the frame or something.thanx, ill be sure to post pics 4 sure.
  19. I'm looking at installing a new rollbar in my mj. ive never done this b4. is there any threads with install and pics. or does anybody have pics of there set up with instructions to base my install off of. it is a bolt in style. Thanx in advance :D
  20. This would explain a lot to me. ive been wondering why it has seemed not so "peppy" compared to the other xjs we have.

    who hates...

lol. congrats to everyone with a child here...we've got quite a few new parents or soon to be parents here. now, heaven forbid I actually end up having kids...can you imagine those little terrors? (i want a daughter too...and you'll hate me, but her first car will probably be a girly colored comanche. only one at her school...20 years from now. it'll be like if i drove a 71 challenger in h.s. just sweet ) It was sweet having a unique car at school (my mj). then others caught on to the mj thing and next thing i know there was 5.
  22. breakage on the 30 or the 44? is this an HP44 or a standard 44?
  23. go with the spray on. ive had 2 plastic liners fly out on the highway during wind storms in my F250. Your son is possibly telling the truth. the second one that flew out was shattered to a million pieces. and the first one broke into about 5 pieces.
  24. crazyxj. did u build that rear bumper or buy it? that is the best design ive seen yet!! Lead_Not_follow: What axles are u runnin the 35"s on?
