  1. Seriously it happens EVERY time I wash my MJ or XJ, it WILL rain. :fs1:
  2. So jealous man, I know nothing about diesels but I would love to swap one into mine
  3. Dang that looks good!!! I want to do that to mine! Where did you get those buckets from?
  4. Got my stupid turn signals, brake lights and dash lights to work Image Not Found Image Not Found Painted my dash too, this is my before Image Not Found Here is the after shot for the dash, I used "hammered black" which has a little bit of 'texture' and I thought it matched good with fake leather print on the plastic..and IMO they do go well together. Image Not Found Still left to do: -retorque wheel spacers (again before I leave for school) -Get new brakes front and rear -Fix/adress SUPER slow windshield wiper motor -Fix parking brake lever (flies all the way up next to the parking break realse, covering the lever to pop the hood) -mount tool boxes with locks Already done: -Fix horn - Fix turn signals and brake lights -install 98+ antenna mount with new antenna and cables -Weld in the 2x4x3/8 square stock for rockers -Change front and rear diff fluid -Change tcase fluid -Figure out why my belt squeels like a mofo (like its not moving) (alternator was seized up) -Mild motor rebuild (for new head gasket) -Change trans fluid -Swap radio's (gotta have that HD radio!) -Change out oil pressure sender -Change out both temp readers -Recover the headliner -Swap in H4 headlights -Install new shocks all around -Install new steering stablizer -Install new bed -Install 97+ finders -Install 97+ header panel -Install 97+ mirrors - 2" hubcentric wheel spacers -New lugs all around - 2" lift spacers to level out the front some -Bondo work (needs more- probably next summer)
  5. Got it fixed  The PO jacked up a lot of my wiring and fuses. I got it all sorted out. Thanks for the help.. 7 hours later I know a lot more about my Jeeps electrical systems lol
  6. Update...so I got the turn signals to work, but no running lights or dash lights still :wall: Even though mines a 92, I still updated all of my grounds. http://comancheclub.com/topic/36311-updated-renix-grounds/?do=findComment&comment=363512
  7. Okay so my 20 amp fuse for the hazards was blown, so I moved over the 30 amp fuse for the ignition...so the drivers side works fine, but the passenger side (like I'm turning right) blinks like the hazards are on (both sides blink). I am also able to get the buzzer working and the console lights if pull out the headlight switch and then push it half way between the headlights and the running lights. I guess I'm going to pull apart my steering column and check out my switches..I think that their is a wire getting grounded out on the hazard switch. So to sum it up; I had no dash lights, no turn signals, no hazards, no brake lights and no buzzer. Now I have a left turn signal, right blinks like hazards, hazards blink but the right side is faint, and still no brake or dash lights or buzzer. I have changed out both flashers in the fuse box, the headlight switch and checked all of the fuses. It also keeps popping the hazard fuse.
  8. Fyi to the OP...I just changed out my antenna and all of the cables between it and the radio and it sounds so much better now
  9. Well it blew an other hazard fuse. and I swapped the headlight switch it didnt change anything. But I moved one of the other fuses over to where the hazard fuses go and my steering column started to smoke. :wall:
  10. Lmao so first you make the truck bump, and now y'all make the house bump ...do your kids have to wear ear plugs at night? :rotf:  Kids are gone, we have the place to ourselves. Lmao, the neighbors then?
  11. We used to make our truck bump...but after 4 kids we gave it up for the house!! Lmao so first you make the truck bump, and now y'all make the house bump ...do your kids have to wear ear plugs at night? :rotf:
  12. No, I will check for them tomorrow. Thanks for your help Girs. Honestly if it is louder its not that noticeable, but it is bigger and heavier than the old one. It sounds a lot like just like the flasher on my 98 XJ. Edit: well it looks like my headlight switch is the cause of not having dash lights or taillights
  13. Took the Jeep out on a two hour drive to salt fork for a little camping and skeet shooting. Image Not Found[/url] And then he wanted to snuggle... lol Image Not Found Hehehe :shake: Image Not Found Haha so we forget stuff to start our fires with so we had to use the clay's boxes...if anyone wonders 288 clays fit on the passenger side floor lol that we all shot before 9 am :rock on: Image Not Found Saw these little babies at Walmart and they would not leave my truck alone Image Not Found And I saw this on the way home Image Not Found All and all it was a good weekend, and thankfully the truck had no mechanical issues. Except for the fact that I lost my brake lights, my dash lights and my turn signals. :wall: Still left to do: (bold is what I would like to get done before the 21st) - Fix turn signals and brake lights -retorque wheel spacers (again before I leave for school) -Fix horn -Get new brakes front and rear -Fix/adress SUPER slow windshield wiper motor -Fix parking brake lever (flies all the way up next to the parking break realse, covering the lever to pop the hood) Already done: -install 98+ antenna mount with new antenna and cables -Weld in the 2x4x3/8 square stock for rockers -Change front and rear diff fluid -Change tcase fluid -Figure out why my belt squeels like a mofo (like its not moving) (alternator was seized up) -Mild motor rebuild (for new head gasket) -Change trans fluid -Swap radio's (gotta have that HD radio!) -Change out oil pressure sender -Change out both temp readers -Recover the headliner -Swap in H4 headlights -Install new shocks all around -Install new steering stablizer -Install new bed -Install 97+ finders -Install 97+ header panel -Install 97+ mirrors - 2" hubcentric wheel spacers -New lugs all around - 2" lift spacers to level out the front some -Bondo work (needs more- probably next summer)
  14. Image Not Found Well I popped these bad boys in I have a good turn signal on the drivers side, a faint turn signal on the passengers side that is now visible from the outside. Still no brake lights nor dash lights :dunno:
  15. Oh thanks for the link man! I was looking at that yesterday wondering if it could be it since it says "flashers" on it. I just got done checking the harness and I couldnt find anything nor did it change anything
  16. Little Monday morning bump! Hope everyone has a good week
  17. Did you check the fuses or to see if the fuse box is all eatin up?
  18. You might be able to get some ideas for the Cherokee owners..I haven't seen to many people here lookin' to make their trucks bump lol
  19. FYI, I just swapped header panels to a 97+ one, and I just swapped beds. *edit: when I say left I mean the passenger side and when I say right I mean the drivers side. So I wired up the 98+ bulb housings to the factory harness. I wired each bulb onto the harness individually to make sure each one worked before I had it all sealed up. When I wired up the two front bulbs the turn signal started to blink like I had a bulb out but all of the bulbs front and rear worked so I didnt worry too much about it. Then a few weeks go by after I get my truck all painted I reassemble it. I don't really know how to go about this other than to just tell you the issues and what Ive done. First I had no turn signals left or right or brake light. - I though the two front bulbs were pulling too much amps so I pulled out one bulb. Seemed work and I had no issues for a while. Then randomly the left side would click and there would be the faintest flash on the dash but nothing in the bulbs. The it started working again. Then it stopped again and this time both sides didn't work and the brake lights. Then even the hazards didn't work. So I check all of the fuses and the wiring; I had a blown fuse for the hazards, just messing with the wiring I think made the right side start working again work. The fuse fixed the hazards where they would at least click. Also my dash lights don't light up any more when I turn the lights on or step on the brakes. And when I turn my turn signal on, it takes a second before it'll start clicking; its like: cliiiiiiiiiiccckkkk clliicckk click click click click. I'm kinda stumped on where to go next..tomorrow after I get off work I'm going to check the harnesses connections. It just confuses me how its only the left side, dash and brake lights that aren't working.. Ugh I was so happy with neither of my Jeeps having electrical issues. :wall: Thanks in advance for the help guys. Let me know if any of this doesn't make sense I'm posting on my phone. Stupid mac is updating :hateputers: -Zack
  20. That is exactly what I did. My dad and I lifted it and put it on by hand....and it was a b*@$£. It was just really awkward to get on.
  21. Some dude has one on the xj/mj proud face book page, so thats 5 of them. lol
  22. I got the rockers welded on today, and I'm going camping tomorrow. It's a 2.5/ 3 hour drive so Ill let ya all know how it goes! Wish me luck! Still left to do: (bold is what I would like to get done before the 21st) -retorque wheel spacers (again before I leave for school) -Fix horn -Get new brakes front and rear -install 98+ antenna mount - may try and upgrade to a 98+ antenna cable as well becasue my reception sucks-coming in the mail and should be here the 10th -Fix/adress SUPER slow windshield wiper motor -Fix parking brake lever (flies all the way up next to the parking break realse, covering the lever to pop the hood) Already done: -Weld in the 2x4x3/8 square stock for rockers -Change front and rear diff fluid -Change tcase fluid -Figure out why my belt squeels like a mofo (like its not moving) (alternator was seized up) -Mild motor rebuild (for new head gasket) -Change trans fluid -Swap radio's (gotta have that HD radio!) -Change out oil pressure sender -Change out both temp readers -Recover the headliner -Swap in H4 headlights -Install new shocks all around -Install new steering stablizer -Install new bed -Install 97+ finders -Install 97+ header panel -Install 97+ mirrors - 2" hubcentric wheel spacers -New lugs all around - 2" lift spacers to level out the front some -Bondo work (needs more- probably next summer)
  23. Ill try it tomorrow! Thanks man!
  24. Put a clamp on it and see if it goes in more. IMO it looks a little small but your bay does look goood
