Going from 3.07 to 3.73 or 4.10 with an Aussie would still require a new carrier and R&P Set Correct, or does the Aussie take the place of the Carrier?

Gamblers are 5.5" BS

I have 3.07's in my MJ D30/D44... (I'm already bypassing the vacuum disconnect and using the Single Piece axle from my TJ in the front D30). Depending on how my taxes turn out, I'd like to get my 31" tires rolling and worried about being a total dog with 3.07's. I've got a bunch of guys in my Jeep Club that have all upgraded thier TJ's, XJ's, YJ's, etc to bigger, badder, locked gears and stuff.. I have a hunch that someone might have some stock stuff laying around in their parts piles that I could get pretty cheap. What would I be able to use without too much effort to swap in? 3.55 and Below use the same carrier, correct? So if someone had a 3.73. or 4.10 laying around, would need the shafts and new carrier, correct? 3.55's would go in without a carrier swap, and if so would it be worth messing with to go 307 to 355? Would I have to look for sets from certain years or makes that would work? Obviously not talking lockers or anything at this time, just looking at re-gearing to make the larger tires more bearable. Thanks Sw2

Hey Brent...my kiddo's are in 5T stuff and the youth sizes with this place go up to 4T... any idea about the sizing of the regular sizes...(like how close the XS might be to a 5T ish...) I guess they could wear as a night shirt if they were too big. Wade -

Good thing my brake is still on the floor, activated by my big ole' foot! At least I have a place to put my coffee cup during my daunting 1.5 miles, 5 minute commute. I can't tell you how many coffee spills I had. Wade -

The belts came from Car Parts Wholesale on eBay. Needed a little "finesse" to make the buckle end fit right, but they work great. Only available in Black though. The cup holder is brand new from Oconee Off-Road on eBay. I got a great deal and easy transaction on the console from a fellow CC member... smartazz19   I got the same Cupholder from Oconee for my full console... probably got to you faster since they are close.... Broken Battery Hold-down?
SuperWade2 replied to Phoenix of Fury's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
I'm going to get one of these for my TJ to hold down my Optima (also has broken bolt) http://www.ruffstuffspecialties.com/cat ... p-280.html From JeepForum... 10% DISCOUNT to forum members, just plug in JPFORM when you checkout. -
I realized that I'm running BFG' AT on my Tahoe and they are 1000x's better than the OEM Firestones or whatever... Great in the rain we have and did just fine towing the TJ on a trailer in the snow last winter and again in a couple weeks. BUT, if i'm spending $150 a tire for new tread for the MJ, I want someting that looks a little more agressive and will eventually be useful when I get to take it offroad... I like my MT MTZ's and think they would look great on my MJ and be great on and offroad... I was more concerned about the Size than I was the type... SW2

Is this the only write up? http://gojeep.willyshotrod.com/HowtoWJcontrolarms.htm Looks like bending the mounts, cutting and re-welding, or trimming the LCA are the options and or steps? sw2 Brent... I ran BFG AT's for a couple years on my TJ... had no complaints other than they were 31" and I wanted something bigger...no probs with wet traction or the easy offroad trails that I did with them on.

WOW, Very nice MJ... Welcome! What area of the country you at?
-
I got to thinking, will I have issue with a 8" rim with 5.5" of Backspacing (OEM Jeep Gambler) with the 10.5" tire. I know the WJ LCA's will help up front enough for now, but what about the back?

We need to talk...

I'd renegotiate for 2 Cases and a Pizza...

Those are hookahs Brent. Kinda like bongs but only because they use water.. Most times are used to smoke favored tobaccos.. Very cool pictures though.. Couple local Hookah bars here...never been personally...

So a little story... The wife drove the MJ today... It's raining pretty good, wet roads... the tread on my TrXus STS AT's = not so good (prob 25-30%)... Wife not a good 5Spd driver anyhow...Truck slides, more than once... Nothing hit, wife calls, yells at "SW2" to complain about the crappy tires...SW2 says, "I guess we need to get some new tires..." ;) I'd like to get 31x10.5r15 Micky Thompson MTZ's (to match the 33's on my TJ)... but I know that I'd rub like a son of a gun at full turn with my 2" Spacers and Rear Shackle drop. I don't plan on wheeling it much (or at all) until do something about the Engine/Tranny and most likely a "real" lift. So for putzing around town and the occasional time the wife takes it to work could I live with 31x10.5's without lifting? Eventually I want to get a new 4.0L, maybe convert to Auto (yah-yah I know) and get a 3-3.5" Lift to fit the 31's better... I've been looking for some WJ LCA's which I think would help, but so far no luck in finding anything cheap (or at all for that matter). Thoughts? Sw2

I just read the whole Wikipedia page on the subject.... can't say that I get it...I don't know any Masons, or if I do none that have ever mentioned that they were involved. Very secretive...or at least that's my impression from the .000001% I get about it... Sw2

IMPORTANT AND URGENT: New Petition to Save Johnson Valley
SuperWade2 replied to SuperWade2's topic in The Pub
I'm also not against expansion... this petition details expansion to the east that was not discussed earlier, that would fit the needs of the Military (per their own reports) and leave JV Offroad area's untouched. So the issue is not new, just the alternative that the military is being asked to consider...they are going to do what they need to do. I just hope they examine all possible options before they do that, which is the basis for this new petition...nothing more, nothing less. -
I know a lot of you dudes out East may never get out this far to wheel, but IF you ever want a chance, I encourage you to take a sec to sign this petition. I've never personally been to JV (about 10 hour drive from here), but it's an absolute mecca for some of the hardcore rock guys. My club does a run down there every year and I'd like have the chance to wheel down there sometime in the future. http://www.ipetitions.com/petition/Save ... ecificPlan Wade
