Need Help Mj Xj Gas Gauge Question!
cherokee_chief replied to cherokee_chief's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
Its out of a 95 and the cluster is from an 88. It has an new pump in the tank. How could it be wired wrong when theres only 3wires and its a factory plug connection -
ok soo i swapped a full cluster from an xj into my mj (dummy cluster) a while back, everything worked fine just no gas light, just recently i got rid of the mj tank and sunk a xj tank halfway into the bed. i plugged everything in ran the fuel lines start the truck and the fuel gauge is saying full is emtpy and empty is full.... what the hell is going on?!

I'm gonna cut the bars off and flip them around so it angles down into anouther bend down to the final bend into the wheel wells. basically, cut the bars off and flip them around. -

so i recently found out the rear 44 i bought with the arb had a blown up arb locker in it :fs1: so a quick call to arb after emailing some pictures and good ol sweet talking and i got all the parts and a brand new carrier from arb to rebuild the locker for free! also in the process of modifying a 95yj roll cage into the bed of my mj for some sort of protection for now. -

sooo after talking with a few people i opted to switch from 4:56 to 4:88's (35" tire automatic trans) its suits my daily driving a bit more seeing how i do alot of hauling and alot of around town. and will give me the extra go when i eventually get some 37's -

haha it is i hate rustys so much, theyre customer service sucks and rusty himself is a stuck up corn dick still looking! if u google it u will find a thread on naxja about it, its a bendix ecu just has a diferent part number sorry i havent updated this thread in a while, hurricane created alot of work for me but however i didnt leave the mj alone, since the build ive been having problems with the torque converter not locking up, i don't know why or if theyre is a fuse i can't find or break in the wire but it won't lock up, so i ran a switch and installed it next to my power comfort switch and wham. locks right up! no more 2800 at 65mph! i aso got my axle situation situated, here's the specs front dana 44 from a early pre 78 bronco , chromoly shafts, arb air locker, complete offroad 1ton DIY chevy steering kit, 4:56 gears rear mj 44 alloy usa dual bolt pattern chromoly shafts teraflex disk break kit and I'm undecided on the rear locker yet -

yes i did and its welded on the bottom too, i cut the lower portion out so i had about a 2" shelf where i layed the back of the 2x6 in to support it and welded it, just have to be carefu when welding it to the sheet metal my lincoln 140 mig on setting C with the wire speed at 5 burned the 3/16 nicely an didnt do that much damage at all to the sheet metal. just welded it in portions. anyways my next update is i finally got my clayton 6.5" coils in today  no more sag!
