  5. jif many of u follow the "i hate it when i take the doors off my xj and the unibody folds in half" page on facebook u might have aready seen why i now own a comanche... if not well yeah the tree won that battle clearly  wasnt long before i was on the search for a new truck, about 4 hours after this whole accident i had a 89 lwd 2wd pioneer mj lined up for me to pick up. the next day my old xj was completly stripped to the shell and when i mean stripped i mean nick (dirteatr717) and i lifted it up and put it on a trailer stripped... yes i had a broken arm at the time of the build..... stock specs: 1989 comanche pioneer lwb 2wd 44 rear I6 aw4 with towing package and a colum shifter.... ohh and a visor  the night i got her home  i don't have to many tear down /build picks but ill try and find what i can and ask some peope to post em interior set up after most of the conversion was done with the help of a buddy of mine after throwing the front suspension in we dropped my old 2dr xj motor tranny and tcase with sye in all at once. my old 2dr had a built high output 4.0 with a mopar cam and performance computer. rear spring over complete  front bumper and winch mounted! and some nicely trimmed fenders and the header panel al back together... all with one hand folks :rotfl2: some adjustments and cleaning and 97+ mirrors

  12. ok so i recently built a 89 mj and used all of my stuff from my 88 xj, specs 95 h.o with mopar cam and computer aw4 auto np231 with sye d30/44.55 ratio 35"tires i ran this set up in my xj down the highway turning 1800 rpms at 65 mph this exact setup in my mj down the highway turns 2400 rpm at 65 mph i swapped the cluster from my xj into the mj but i can tell its not reading properly but while driving down the highway u can hear the motor is turning a greater rpm. is the aw4 a 4 speed with overdrive or 3 speed with over drive? while driving from going to d-3 there is a noticeable deference in rpm what could cause this?

  16. hey guys i just recently got a 89 long bed comanche, it came as a 2wd I6 with the aw4 towing package and 44 rear, i swapped my motor tranny and transfercase with sye from my 88 cherokee chief and I'm having a huge drive shaft issue due to the sye, does anyone know of any shaft that will work for my set up or do i have to order a custom shaft or go back to the stock tcase. i got 51" yoke to yoke. i picked up a ford ranger driveshaft and it was 1/4 inch too short and the joint were a 1/8inch to wide
