so yesterday i woke up and this happened.... and then this 16" off the tail

yes i cut it because it took a beating 2 rausch trips ago, and its filed nicely so no harm can be done, after the recent rausch trip i got a serious case of death wobble from 10-45 mph, it was so bad the front of the truck would literally hop off the ground, here's the cause i already plated the outside with 1/4 plate , on the inner side i used 1/8 plate and rosette welded the balls out of it and around it, all i need to do now is plate the top and under side of the rail and HOPEFULLY no more steering box issues

ide hate to say this after u just painted the engine area but unless u plate that inner frame all of the clutch dropping and power from that 383 is going to rip the stock unibody apart, and i would also take the time to brace the frame where the steering box sits because ur going to be stressing the hell out of it countersteering , just my 2cents but overall i like the idea, this kid i bought my mj off of was going to do something like this, fortunately i got to it before he cut it up

yeah :wall: fixed my rear driveshaft with a 4x4 extcab ford ranger driveshaft its the perfect length for a lwb with sye, around 52" yoke to yoke just needed 13130-1330 ujoints

ok guys update time! plated the frame by the steering box front 44 in her final stages all mounted up and awaiting some airline for the arb, feels good to have 4wd again and just a lil teaser;)

hopefully will be installing my front axle this weekend and dropping off my rear to get geared!

ok brief update. i got the xj tank sunk in the bed and everything plumbed, gas gauge works backwards now but after some research i found the cure and that is next on my to-do list. after the long awaited parts from arb i got another depressing call from my gear installer that i needed yet more parts for the arb which are now on there way! arb is getting great feedback from me once this is all settled and done. they basically gave me all the parts to build a brand new air locker for free! other then that the 13 degree weather is really kickin @$$ over here so ive been in hibernation these last few days, pics and updates soon!
