cranking: 12V running: about 8 or 9. try bypassing the ballast resistor.

I would have, but some of us cool guys have sunroof glass there ;)

ax5=light duty ax15=medium duty. bellhousings are remarkably similar, but not the same.

semi gloss black....

pm me your email address. the 88 manual works for my 87, most of the wire colors are the same, and all of the axle/hard parts info is good.

cb mounted to the front of the center console, where the cherokee e-brake would be. Antenna mounted on the drivers side of the hood. you can see the k40 nub if you look at the drivers side mirror.

give that man a cookie. one is the knock sensor, the other is the coolant temp sensor that goes to the ECU. THe ECU and the guage have different senders, the one for the guage is in the top of the head, drivers side, at the firewall.

it's possible, it may not have been the trans shifting funny, but misfiring in the motor because of the failing CPS. You should also check the TPS. The TPS input is important to the trans shifting, and a completely shorted part can keep the motor for starting, because the renix box will freak. try disconnecting the TPS and cranking it, it should start with no TPS signal.

what year, I happen to have an 88, 93, and 2000. covers the three engine management systems anyway.

Trouble With Box removal
87manche replied to SomeNew Name's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
pound the next size socket onto the nut with a hammer, apply great force with breaker bar until stud breaks. The studd will break where it goes into the nut. Drill out remaining piece and retap. is it a longbed or shortbed. If it's a longbed I will pay you not to destroy the tank skid. -
too many to list. many stories involving: fireworks bb guns (friend still has one lodged under the skin) paintball guns you name it, we probably did it. amzing we lived through our teenage years. I remember jumping off a roof with a homemade parachute.

can't just ream from the top, because it's already reamed for the bottom. You'll end up with nothing for the TRE to seat into. don't forget that if you're going OTK with the steering you should also move your trackbar, needs to have the same angle as the draglink, or bumpsteer will result. JKS makes a nice bracket. You'll also have to modify the swaybar link mounts on the axle, might want to ask JCR if they can put a bend in the tube to clear those. CALL JCR! they've done it, they can tell you exactly what needs to happen. I've wheeled with them, they will help you as best they can over the phone.

cabrios are sweet, don't hate. I looked at one the other day, but it had been run pretty ragged. I'm really on the lookot for a diesel rabbit, preferably a caddy model. yes, I like to drive weird automobiles.

http://freefileupload.net/ place to stick that excel file temporarily so we can all download it.

RE has the exact thing you're lookin for http://www.rubiconexpress.com/Products. ... B221879777 yes, it uses drop brackets, but I recall you stating that you weren't looking to wheel this thing hard, so drop brackets will keep the factory ride.

it will get uncomfortably warm during a day of summer trail riding. last year in uwharrie my feet felt like they were on fire, and it was about 100* in the cab.

sounds about right, if you've got a non disco axle with the stamped sheetmetal passenger UCA mount, be cautious to not bend it when pressing out the old bushing.

Mashing AW4's together...
87manche replied to rockhardzj's topic in MJ Tech: Modification and Repairs
the AW4 changed very little. Both of those will have a 23 spline output. put the good trans in, plug it all up and it should work fine. -
I think that this pile is likely going to be my knockaround gun. http://www.hi-pointfirearms.com/handgun ... p?Gun=40SW Yes I know it's heavy, but I've fired a few, they are relatively accurate (I shot a 6" group at 20 paces), and it's reliable. that and I wouldn't cry if I dropped it in the mud while camping, like I would a $500 pistol. they go on sale at the local hunting place about every two months, I can pick up that 40 for about $129, with 2 mags.

Thanks. I have some extended brakes lines I'm putting on the front tomorrow. I just need to get one for the back. mid 90's dakota line works beautifully. I'm at 4" and it's still long enough.

alarm clocks, hidden in random locations, set to go off at random times during finals. tends to anger the administration a bit. don't forget to be creative when placing, drop ceilings are great places to hide things, as are lockers that have a lock on them that noone has a key too. be sure you get the battery powered electronic ones, they beep until the batteries die. the windup ones just don't last long enough to be truly annoying. if you really want to make a mark, don't use roundup to write things, use diesel, it makes the soil barren, but the enviro nazis would probably freak out about that now adays.
-
I'm gonna go against the grain on this one. I'd say drop the 8.8 in it. Minimal fab, sturdy and your wife will get much improved braking with the factory discs. If you want a drop in solution, get a 19 spline 8.25, itll do just fine. Please avoid the D35 at all costs.

I'd just as soon put my boot into a snapping turtle than try and pick it up. safer for everyone to just punt them. mean bastards. I've sen a decent pond snapper around here break a 1" branch in two with ease.
-
go try and pet a snapping turtle, your opinion will change. you'll probably end up missing a few digits.

figured I'd post in here, rather than start another "hey pete" thread. Hey pete, thanks for the stickers. didn't even know they were coming. I'll find a suitable place for them, that won't get painted over in the fall.
