  1. For sale threads being bumped every two hours...by individuals who've only registered to sell their junk and posted nowhere else, ever. TTT (To The Top) of what? the other post in the for sale forum since last bumped? JT, you've shown amazing restraint by not posting in that thread.
  2. This one? viewtopic.php?f=3&t=15780
  3. Shockingly enough, the seat has issues. Lumbar inflates well but won't stay inflated, so there's probably a small hole in the airbag. I was probably going to reupholster the seat somewhere down the line to match the rest of the interior i'll figure out a way to replace it then. I've informed the seller and will give him a day or two to respond, not that he will. Thanks again to everyone who helped out, a mostly working seat is better than the nothing i was going to get two weeks ago. Not sure if you were giving a constructive comment that came off the wrong way or you were just being a d*ck. If it was the latter please don't bother posting here again. I think its worth 5 more minutes of my life to leave feedback in the other forums so someone else doesn't get screwed over by this guy in the future.
  4. I know, i'm lucky to have gotten what i have out of this, thanks to vaquaro, DC and a few others, so i'm going to hold my breath for much else. Unless the seat adjustments aren't working, all i'm going to do is post truthful feedback in the forums i've dealt with him in, and if i happen to see him post another for sale thread, link the feedback. Seats in the truck...that's a long way off because my truck is completely disassembled at the moment. We did test fit a similar seat before the tear down, but the only pic i have right now is of the track itself. One of the changes i'm going to make is a using a thicker, wider strip of steel for attaching the seat brackets more securely to the track. The tracks themselves are power, 6-way with memory. Chrysler used the same basic track for several of its models from the mid 80s thru early 90s so replacement parts are easy to find.
  5. As far as i know, so far only DirtyComanche spoke to the deadbeat directly, and from what he told me the conversation was a polite one. Others have done some scouting and gathered info, but nothing that would be harassment. That all said, the seat arrived yesterday...and the guy overcharged me for shipping by $30USD. No reclining mechanism or hardware of any kind. I did originally tell him that i could get those things if i had to, but i'd appreciate him sending them. Guess he didn't feel that bad about the "delay" in shipping or he would have made a little more than the minimum effort or refunded the extra shipping money he pocketed. I plan to test the seat tonight and take up the remaining issues with him. So my situation hasn't been totally resolved yet. 87mjdriver, i looks like your issue is making some progress toward a resolution. Please post when it has so that everyone knows that JeepcoMJ made good and nobody trolls any of his threads.
  6. 87mjdriver, sorry to hear you are having problems with someone who has made many contributions to the forum. Needless to say i can relate, so i hope you are able to get things worked out.
  7. i'm all but positive the shipping address will be the dealer's, everybody i've been i contact with has told me their package was addressed that way. I won't be shocked if he used the dealership's account too. The question is, do i call him on it now, or two weeks from now when it arrives.
  8. Thanks mjeff, it wouldn't have been possible without the efforts of the members of this forum. When i've sold things on here and other jeep forums, its almost always the same way you have, ship first and payment when the buyer is satisfied. And knock on wood, i haven't been burned either. So far so good on at least receiving something, a lot of progress from where i was 72 hours ago. I am going to take issue with the shipping cost. I may be in the wrong because we agreed on a shipping cost; ignorance isn't much of a defense. But he did tell me that was his cost. And i know when i've sent something the buyer isn't happy with (in this case the seller's service), i offer something back to offset the problem.
  9. Just got off the phone with canada post, they really couldn't tell me much. What i did find out... 11 business days to the get to me, starting today. So unless saturday is a business day, i'm looking at delivery around june 22. They couldn't tell me if the package was sent using an account, they couldn't even tell me the shipping or destination address yet, just postal codes. I asked them to estimate the cost for me based on the postal codes and shipping method and found out he marked up shipping about 50%. He's not getting away with that...looks like its game on again.
  10. That's disappointing...i wouldn't think most of the regulars around here would do that to anyone, let along another member. I hope he or she makes things right; and they shouldn't need prompting from a mod. obviously he lied to me back on the 19th when they said they were shipped. I'm still going to call Canada Post and see if i can find out if the items were shipped on the dealership's account. at this point its certainly possible even if something arrives, it won't be working as promised. I'm guessing we'll know if we need the brother's services by friday.
  11. Should have checked my email before hitting the forum...we have contact from the seller in the form of tracking numbers. Not sure if they are legit, he tried this tactic with another guy he shafted, so this might not be the end of it...this is what i'm getting when i put them into the canada post website: We're Sorry The page you requested is not available at this time. We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause. Please try again later Either way in less than 24 hours and he blinked; even contacting me is something he hasn't done in weeks. I'll let you all know when i can confirm this is on the level. Even if the system remains unavailable, if the guy really sent them the boxes should be here by the end of the week. YOU GUYS ARE THE BEST. I can't thank everyone enough who contacted him directly, offered to or thought of interesting ways to ruin his life. Hold those good thoughts in case the tracking numbers are just another scam.
  12. I can try contacting Purolator directly and see what i can find out. He shipped a part to another guy (after jerking him around for weeks), and the return address on the box was the dealership.
  13. That's a good idea, if there is someone who is local to Vancouver/Richmond that would volunteer their time if it gets that far, it would be appreciated. I don't know, i think living with his parents would cramp his style. I've got a female friend calling first; after getting called at work he may be screening his calls. I figure a girl may get some additional info out of someone who answers if it isn't the deadbeat. He claims to have shipped it Canada Post. I called them two weeks ago, told them i had the sender's and recipient's address and asked if there was anything they could do to track down a package. Unfortunately there wasn't anything they could tell me with just that info. I also asked what the time frame for delivery would be; we're well past the outside date if in fact he'd sent anything. I'll try other carriers just in case. A couple of people have also suggested going to his boss. Never thought of the media angle if the boss blows me off. Probably not the greatest time for any dealership to get bad press, hopefully just the possibility of that would be enough. He'd probably live in his parent's turbovan he's so proud of. I really do appreciate all the support from everyone.
  14. It ain't that big , and there are only so many Chrysler dealers , Send me a PM with the info you have and I'll make some "inquiries" as they say .....Gord :brows: Done, thanks. Well, he didn't email me a tracking number or give me a refund last night. Since he's off work today i think i'll give him a call at home.
  15. It all helps. The work address is in the other links. If this initial pressure doesn't pan out, i'll pm you his home addy and phone number. Thanks Junker.
  16. I was going to give him tonight to make good before i gave him a call at home...Anybody else up for giving Graeme in the parts department at Marine Chrysler Dodge a call on Monday? Home would work too, i won't put his home phone number up publicly (yet), but i would send it via pm to anyone interested in saying hi. Thanks again to those who are already helping and in advance to those who offer help out.
  17. Thanks DC for contacting him. That's pretty much the same story he gave me and another guy he stiffed. He was already reacting to what little pressure i was putting on him, now he knows that this isn't just going away quietly. And i have yet to use his address and home phone number or go totally public....
  18. I wonder if it would be bad form if i linked personal information he posted himself on a public forum.
  19. Directly out of my bank account. The entire 180 is listed under online transfers in a single transaction on my bank statement. I haven't sold anything or received any refunds thru paypal in a while, so my paypal balance was 0 at the time.
  20. Just got off the phone with the bank, there is probably nothing they can do. The person i spoke to at the bank is someone our family has worked with for years (not some random rep at their 800 number). She's going to look into it some, but told me not to get my hopes up. It was a good idea tho, thanks DC.
  21. That's a good idea, i'm going to give that a try.
  22. Thanks guys, the suggestion about the credit card was a good one. Unfortunately paypal drew this from my bank account. This was my first transaction since my paypal account was upgraded from basic (reached their lifetime limit and had to attach a bank account) and didn't realize until now that my bank account is now my default method of payment. I'm going to have to call paypal and find out how to change it back to my credit card going forward no clear way to change it in my online profile. I'm not a member at Pirate 4x4, so as much as i want someone to do what they did to that Wenzel guy at times, Pirate isn't an option for me.
  23. Golf club sounds like a good idea. Greater force to a smaller area
  24. Its an option. I don't want to cross the line, but i would love to put enough pressure on this guy that he owns up publicly and refunds me the money.
  25. Thank you DirtyComanche....i'm going to put together all the information right now and PM it to you. Don't want to throw this guys life out there in the open. Yet.
