Dakota vs. MJ taillights

Dakota is the bigger one on the left.

Okay. I would think XJ would be closer.

If you aren't all about a resto, I'd use some square tube with some holes in it. That way they're a heck of a lot less likely to break.

(Look at the ones they sell for XJs, if you don't know what I mean. I say MAKE because they're all overpriced.)

I will post some pics of the Leds that I am using on my truggy. They have turn, stop and reverse light all in one water tight housing. They are ovalish in shape. They are also slightly pricey at 45 bucks a piece, but since thay offer a clean install and are kinda trick looking I went with them. I will post a link tommorow

XJ tail lights are totally different.

Anyone check out '87 Dakota lights? They were a year to themselves. (according to Dodge) That's what I measured.

I haven't had a chance ot get with Matt over at http://independent4x.com/ but if you call him and ask him, I am sure he will send you a link. I will ask him when I am up there on Thursday. They are actually used by RV builders. I think they were slick.
