I interacted with someone from Novak last week who stated that the biggest hurdle they have is selling their product to a group of purists. Jeep never had a problem putting other automakers engines and transmissions in their product. AMC and Buick engines in Kaiser Jeeps. Chevy and Renault engines in XJ’s. Those are aftermarket gauges. I had 41 hours of living with this car, not counting road tests that stranded me twice. Mostly driveability issues. vapor lock, underhood temps, overheating, fan issues. Here is a short summary from memory after it was done. I know it's maybe 2/3 of what I did. Damn, who owned this thing? +One of my propane customers. He and some old hotrod builders built it over a period of a few years in Kalifornia. He hated the way it drove and stranded him and was ready to put it in his barn and cover it up. Had $80K into the build.
