One of my customers has an 88 Comanche and just had an insurance appraisal for hail damage. They told him the high end book value was over $6500. It appears that the cutoff for the NADA "Classic Car/Truck" is 1988. An 1989 books out at $2800 on the high end yet an 88 books out at $6700. What a difference a year makes ;)

Holy crud, even at low retail, which I assume mine falls into, mine is worth $1935.

How come the desirable (read: ever lasting) 4.0 causes a 10% lower value?

1988 is also considered to be the last year of the AMC Jeeps. The AMC Owners Group recognizes through 1988 for Jeep vehicles to exhibit in their shows and competitions.

I think it's more likely you won't be able to feed her before you can't fix her anymore.
