I was at the Airport in January, thanked a uniformed soldier (Army I believe) for his service.... he kind of looked at me sideways and awkwardly said "thanks man"...

 

I've never served, but come from a very military heavy family (Father, Sister, Grandfathers, Uncles, etc, etc) and am ULTIMATELY GRATEFUL for everything that these men and woman who serve, past present and future have given us!

Man, the rest of you dudes make me feel OLD. I came back from Vietnam in 1968. Looking at these other terms of service, I get the feeling most of you weren't even born then.

i tip my hat to them as well. though i have no military experience yet, my grandpa was a Vet of WWII, my uncle of Vet of Vietnam, my dad was in the military during Vietnam but was never shipped over. one of my cousins is in iraq right now, and i have some friends that are about to be shipped over to iraq.
