Spray Paint....

Recommended Posts

Did you sand the surface (with a scotch pad) before spraying the primer? Clean it good with a degreaser followed by thinner?

Primer (as well as paint) needs to have a clean surface with some kind of texture to adhere well.

anyone know where i can get some olympic white spray paint? or at least which color is closest to it?

Erik :beerhead:

My Suburban is "Olympic White", and I can get a spray can with touch-up paint from any GM stealership's parts department.

But I doubt GM Olympic White is the same as AMC/Chrysler Olympic White.

Try a dealership, or if possible take a sample to NAPA.

If your using spray can primer it will keep bubbling up. The only primer that's not pourous and won't let moisture in is epoxy primer that you spray with a spray gun. You'd be better off using actual paint if your going to use a spray can.

I will say that if you guys have a chance to work with DIY4x on any thing do it that guy rocks jamminz.gif You should see the set H-1 Bead locks he re centered for a guy I wheel with they look like a fan blade and the gusset stand up and come out from the rig and just look sick. I will get pic as soon as I find that paint. I live in a smaller town and wal-mart does not carry it or this one does not :headpop:

This well only get me by until I can get them powder coated

i know its just an illusion but if you look quickly with the new paint job, it really looks like the 'DIY4X' cut out reads 'PINK'. Sorry just had to comment, its like the third time I've seen the pic and the third time I had to correct myself.

That’s funny because as soon as I got back to town from picking these up I had to show the wife well she works at Wal-mart so of course I just take it in and show here and some one there said the same thing.

And as far as the bed goes yeah that was fun don’t try and flow a Sammie thru 2 trees where he did not fit you end up with a box and cab corner that is smashed
