waggy grill conversion

The recent post got me thinking about doing this to my 86'. Does anybody know how much electrical modification is needed to use the Wagoneer grill and headlights?

I'm getting the feeling we are alone in this. il take a look at my bros when it stops snowing. if i had to guess, we'll just have to swap out the headlight harness and bolt up the rest. i wish i could start doing it now but hes gonna be driving it for a while

yes.

 

you need the wagoneer headlamp connectors. other than that, you can do the mod with what you have there. I just cut out the connectors and fed them into the factory ones just in case i ever went back to stock.

 

for the turn signals, grab a file and you can file out the wagoneer turn signals to fit your factory ones.

I think those grille's look great but I guess we are a minority here. Just add the Hella lights from here and you would have a really nice upgrade.

I also like this look... Mostly because its different than everyone elses. That just the way I think, I want something different than what everyone else has...

 

 

If I run across one for a good price, I'll likely do it, unless I get a 97-02 first...

i think the look of the waggy frontend on the manche is great! my 88 looks good like that... one of my favorite mods.

I think I prefer the 97+ mod over the waggy one. But the waggy one is definatley a close second.

I had this Idea a logn time ago, pulled it off an old cherokee. Problem being between moves I lost the turn signals and they'e not regular turn signals. But I am pretty sure I still have the front light harness someplace. Let me know if somebody's interested in either
