onebigmj Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 Is there any difference between the 87 and the 89 2.5 other than the fact that ones rebuilt? Was it just a stock rebuild or is bored over and ported and polished and all that. How does it run I was thinking about rebuilding an engine for my 87?
MJ'87 Posted March 11, 2008 Author Posted March 11, 2008 87 had low compression, no power left and rod knock this was all my senior project for high school, so that was fun. the new motor runs so smooth you wouldnt believe. high flow oil pump and .040 overbore
xjcrazy09 Posted March 11, 2008 Posted March 11, 2008 I wish i could have worked on my truck as a senior project. I had to volunteer at a food shelter. It was a good experience none the less.

xjcrazy09 Posted March 12, 2008 Posted March 12, 2008 Basically Senior Project allowed me to leave school instead of having a 4th period everyday at 2:00. And our Senior Project had to benefit our community just like the Eagle project
MJ'87 Posted March 13, 2008 Author Posted March 13, 2008 mine benefited the communityin a round-a-bout way by providing a new motor for my truck, which in turn will eventually allow me to go faster up the grade out of green valley and make the other drivers happier :brows:
