People can be kind

I had found some stock Jeep TJ fender flares from an 05 Rubicon a Kathy had for sale on Craigslist for $100. I e-mailed her asking if she'd take $80, she said sure help a Jeeper.

I had called back leaving a message a week later saying I had some cash and could come pick them up.

I went to her house (highish east bench hills of Salt Lake).

Nice older lady.

Rubicon was nice, she had new probably 35" tires on 18" chrome rims requiring the NEW bigger fender flares. PIAA lights, nice decked out Wrangler.

She had found receipt and showed me, paid $195 for new flares and a total of $530 painted body color and installed so about $300 to paint.

She has my number and knows to ask me about paint stuff in the future.

I go to give her $80 and she says 'no take them for free! I have money its really OK!'

I tell her I have to give her something but she's really sure, 'you help someone out when you have money'! I tell her it really helps out, much appreciated!

She gave me two steel tow hooks with rods w/ cotter pins I'll use on an after market front bumper I shall weld up too!!

I told her I was 22, her son was a bit older I believe.

She said I WILL see you later.

Thanks so much ma'am, I try to act the same way in my life 'when I'm doing well with everything in order' to other nice people wherever I can help out.

:D

I can see it now.... She calls you over to help her with a flat tire, you rush over and see the jeeps all aired up and think" Hummmm, WTH?"

As soon as you knock on the door some 70's porn music starts playing and she opens up the door with some skimp lace, and its all over my friend!!!

ROFL :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

I'm kidding... That was really nice of her! Still when I read that I couldn't help it...

Sorry man this is what happens when your cramming for a exam... Pulling a al nighter...

Anyone remember the old TV show, "KUNG FU" with David Carradine.

In the Show someone was nice to his character, when he asked how could he repay the person, the person said he must help ten others. And when doing so tell those that they too must help 10 others. Thus the goodness of a single act of kindness might spread and make the world better.

Yelp it's called pay it forward.. There is a movie dedicated to the whole concept, and it shows what would happen if everyone did pay their debt to others if that concept is applied.
