OzarkGuy Posted yesterday at 06:45 PM Posted yesterday at 06:45 PM Does anyone know where I could source new vacuum elbows that aren't made in china? I see Autozone may have them by Dorman but the reviews are not thrilling with some people saying they dry up and split quickly. I am trying to renew all the vacuum lines for reliability even though the truck runs good now. Some of the fittings are really loose.
ghetdjc320 Posted yesterday at 11:28 PM Posted yesterday at 11:28 PM I’d just use the Dorman if you can find the right size.
GonzoTheGreat Posted 22 hours ago Posted 22 hours ago I had really bad luck with the doorman ones. After two years the rubber hardened, cracked, and caused leaks. I ended up using decent ones from a junkyard that werent as loose as my originals, but I am also interested to hear if anybody has found a better brand.
pizzaman09 Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago I just did a lot of searching and didn't come up with much. You could buy high quality silicone vacuum hose and use it as elbows.
Phil86MJX Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I would also be cautious when purchasing the small diameter vacuum hose from NAPA. I thought I was purchasing 10ft continuous and it came in sections.
jodawill Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago The Dorman vacuum hose assembly is garbage. I ended up using silicone to get the connections to stay together.
