Is this an MJ/XJ front bumper?

I have come across what I think might be an XJ ARB bumper with a winch on FBMP. The ad says it is for a Cherokee, but the bumper brackets look suspect to me. Can anyone confirm or deny that this is correct for an XJ or MJ?

I had an ARB on my 2001 XJ.  It's been 20 years since I installed it and my memory isn't the best but those brackets don't look right to me.

I was thinking that they didn't look quite like any XJ brackets I've seen, but I've also never seen an ARB on one. I think this might be a ZJ bumper after more looking.

Wouldn't be surprised if the seller doesn't really understand the difference between a Cherokee and a Grand Cherokee.

Oh they definitely don't. They don't understand the difference between a winch and a wench either.

I'm still slightly tempted though. It has a Warn winch on it and is $300.

The winch alone is worth $300. Barnes4wd sells bumper mounts for custom bumpers.

Funny story.  I was at a dealership and there was a new TJ on the lot that had some dealer installed upgrades on it.  I was looking at the sticker and it listed an 8,000 pound wench.  I asked the salesman if they were worried about exceeding the GVWR with a heavy woman like that.  He just stared at me with a confused look on his face until I explained the difference between wench and winch.

That is exactly why I was still tempted. And then that makes the bumper essentially free, so I wouldn't feel bad about modifying it to fit my MJ if necessary or maybe even my Eagle.

LOL! That is an excellent story and very unsurprising that the salesman didn't understand right away.
