The steep was for the difference between the Intake manifold and the header. I have never seen step washer on a manifold before. Both manifolds should have flanges that are the same thickness. They may have been there from a machine shop surfacing a warped header to get it back to flat.
75sv1 Posted December 5, 2025 Posted December 5, 2025 I have seen them on another XJ in the PnP in New Ringgold. I think last year. Also, Banks claims there's is the only exhaust manifold with the same thickness as the Intake manifold. I just gave away or 'back' the two stock XJ manifolds I have. I might see if there is any difference between the Thorely and the Banks I have. I might be able to measure a stock one.
