I picked up a 3.4L that I want to swap for the 2.8L in my manche.

Before I put it in I want to freshen it up a bit with new rings, gaskets, bearings and such.

I just got done talking with the machine shop near me and he quoted me a price to cook the block, hone the cylinders and install new cam bearings.

The quote was for $325. Seemed a bit steep to me but may be the going rate. Let me know what you guys think.

Just to clarify. The machine shop will only be cleaning the block, honing the cylinders and installing cam bearings.

But if that sounds like a good deal I'll set up an appointment.
