Everz Posted September 8, 2025 Posted September 8, 2025 have had this truck for about 4 years 88 jeep comache 4.0 with an ax-15, and it would happen occasionally when the truck got hot on the highway, you pull in the clutch and hit the brake and it dies…while rolling pop the clutch and starts back up or come to a stop and use the starter starts back up no problem. well lately its been happening alot more frequently and I have replaced several components or adjusted things over the years that I believed to be involved- coil, crank position sensor, idle speed, inspect the grounds. with no real luck so I'm wondering if anyone else has had a similar problem and any fixes in mind. maybe still too low a idle or fuel pressure regulator or pump on its way out?
89 MJ Posted September 8, 2025 Posted September 8, 2025 I suspect that its the IAC. Be sure to clean your throttle body and IAC. If you don't have one already, I'd recommend getting an REM.
