89 MJ
April 2025 - The First MJs Owned by @Awesome Build Thread- Year/Model - 1986 Custom Drivetrain- AMC 150 2.5L, AX-5, NP207, D30/35 3.55:1 Cooling- Aluminum-core aftermarket radiator, new fan clutch Electrical/Ignition- Work in Progress --- have built new battery cables but there are other wiring issues. Suspension/Steering- Stock suspension, Grant Challenger GT steering wheel Interior- Gray Pioneer interior Brakes- Stock for now, but upgrades are planned. Stock brakes actually aren't bad. Lighting- Amazonian LED headlights, everything else stock. Exterior- Currently a mix of gray, blue and rusty metal. Will eventually be painted a sparkly blue. Wheel & Tires- Stock TJ Canyon 15" wheels with 30" Dextero DAT1 tires. Misc- 1980's longbed rollbar. Aftermarket rear bumper that seems to have been a common swap on MJs. Best MJ story- Daughter says: "I was changing the transmission oil and spilled oil all over the floor. It got all over me and it took a while to clean it all up." Dad says: "This was a FREE* Comanche and I drove 4,000 miles to get it. So far it's been worth it. The road trip was pretty fun." Congratulations, Awesome! I am looking forward to see what the future brings for this truck!

Awesome
Thanks guys. I'll post more updates in the next few days. I fixed some stuff today and got a front bumper installed, but found a new fluid leak. LOL. This thing is like playing whack-a-mole.
