ratrapp
what is a good quality door weatherstripping for the comanches?i made the mistake of buying new gaskets from team cherokee and i went from no door leaks to now water pours in both doors.i threw the old weatherstripping away before i realized it leaks.i looked at the steele/rubber brand but to me they look the same as the team cherokee ones.i replaced the weatherstripping because it had a few tear places around the bottoms of the doors but they didnt leak.the replacements don't look no where near as wide as the old ones.i thought they would flatten out but after three months i realize theyre not going too.i have thought about going to my pick n save and find used ones if good new ones arent available. fiatslug87
The consensus is that ‘97+ Cherokee door seals from Crown are better. See this post.

ghetdjc320
I’ve had to straighten my pinch seam in a few places as well to get a better seal. Let us know how they turn out for you. If you wouldn’t mind, post up in that thread as well for future reference
ratrapp
i already straightened the pinch seam up quite alot.it got better but the weatherstripping from teamcherokee is just not cutting it.my new ones are supposedly on the truck today for delivery and if they are I'm putting them on tomorrow. J33ps
Been looking around for something, decided to bite on the crown one since everyone is talking about it. Do you need to buy 2 of them or does 1 cover both doors?
ratrapp
you need two.I'm going to try and put one side on tomorrow after work and do my water test before i even take the other side out of the bag.

Awesome! I'll hold off and see how it goes for you. Mines currently leaking in a steady rain but it's not a DD
ratrapp
well some what good news.the passenger side is now leak free using crown weatherstripping for the 97 up cherokee.the driver side i did have to still adjust the door up and inward some but its now leak free as well.my one gripe is when you install it i wish it had been just an inch longer because when you get it installed you have about an inch gap at the bottom in the middle of the door but ill cut a small piece out of the other weatherstripping i got from team cherokee and fill the gap in.does it cost more?yes but it does seal up the doors better.i don't care if it has wind noise but the water leaks had to be fixed and it did the job.now to replace a few pieces of weatherstripping around the glass and be done with it. ratrapp
honestly,I'm computer/phone illiterate.i don't have the first clue on how to do it.you can see the difference in the pieces when laid side by side.

More than one way, but here is how I do it 1. Take a picture on my phone 2. Email that picture to myself 3. Check my email on my computer 4. Save the picture from the email somewhere on my computer, in my case I drag the picture from the email to the computer desktop 5. Start a message in this forum 6. Drag the picture into the forum post.
