not that I've got the tank down I can see a lot of rust inside.  :(

do any of the aftermarket tanks have the factory sump area?  the ads don't really share pics of the insides. lol

I just received the same tank. I was surprised to see it was made in Canada. I assumed it would of been China

Do you guys paint these before you install them?

I didn’t. They have some type of coating on them. I didn’t want to remove the coating just to apply paint. If the coating ever starts to fail, I’d probably cover it with some clear coat. That way I can keep an eye on any rust that may try to form

Spectra’s a Canadian company. They’ve shifted a lot of production to China but the bigger bulkier things like fuel tanks that cost a lot to ship are still made in Canada.

arrived today.   has a waxy residue on it so I'm definitely not going through the effort to paint it in the wintertime.  has the slosh pan inside, but not the little bracket that holds the bottom of the pump assembly.  close enough :D

That waxy residue is a nice anti corrosive coating. I just left mine on and will spray it down with more anti corrosive from time to time.
