Pretty sure that I broke at least one, maybe two of those stock knobs in my & the Comanche's younger days. I remember the white plastic breaking out. The Pueguoet didn't survive the wrath of my younger days either, (my dad bought the MJ when I was 17, I bought it from him when I was 20).  Thanks for the trip down memory lane. 😂

 

I've been unable to kill the aluminum Hurst knob or the AX15 in all of the years since. I did buy a new AX15 from Advance Adapters a few years ago, just because I had it out and mine was high mileage, but it still worked fine.

I was able to find the correct 4spd knob form Summit a few years ago. Really had to scroll through all the options to find it but it's correct looking.

Small world!  I started looking at the seller's "other items" and then saw his address (Vail, Arizona) and realized I know him.  We've never met in person, but we have done business a couple times, which led to a conversation where we discovered we have something in common (USMC... and Jeeps of course).  Nice guy, I could put you in contact if you wanted to purchase from him directly.

nah, the nos wall needs oem whenever possible.   thanks though.

although... there are a couple aftermarket things on the wall, but they are 1990 era things. 

 

is that nos stick for sale somewhere?
