Fuse Box Gasket

Browsing forums the other day I came across this gasket that allegedly fits the Comanche/Cherokee fuse box. Will be testing whether or not that's the case soon!

Thank you for sharing! I've been considering trimming a GM bulkhead variant that was close-ish. An exact part is beyond what I'd hoped, look forward to your conclusions.

Here's what's left of my old one, compared to the one from Casper's. Looks like an (almost) perfect match. Ordering now lol. GM and AMC both referred to the connector as "C100."

I'm looking for one for my 83 CJ, it's slightly different.

Went ahead and knocked out the fuse box tonight, the gasket fits perfectly! I didn't get all of the old black grease, but I did scrape out the bulk of it.

 

 

Here you can see the old crusty gasket.

 

It just crumbled as I tried to take it off.

 

Here's the new gasket. A perfect fit! Nevermind the bent plastic at the top, it was like that before. Straightened it out as best I could.

 

Here you can see the gasket peeking out before I screwed everything tight. Fingers crossed this will take care of at least one leak source!

I don't have an update unfortunately, I just installed it and haven't had the truck in the weather since. I did make one of my own as well as a custom gasket for @schardein, he may be able to update you on his!
