What's the plan with it?

This is a rescued parts truck, was originally the parts truck for someone’s project due to get parted out after they were done.

Short term the plan is to get it running and driving as a yard truck.

Longer term is to fix the rust, needs a big floor patch and cab mount supports, and a frame patch or swap, and finding a step side as my dad is really into those. Whatever we do it’ll have an amc V8 with a manual.

I want to do a muscle truck style build really bad.

My dad wants either a 4x4rig or a muscle truck as well, but we are still thinking on everything.

Congrats on the score!

Thanks, it’s really a rescue mission, this truck wouldn’t be saved by anyone else, but then again almost all our projects are like that

One of those managed to follow us home too :brows:

Yours is sweet, these trucks carry a personality with them and once you see it it’s hard to just leave it

For what it’s worth, they fit really well on K5 Blazer frames. This was my brothers parts truck that became a project.

That’s actually a really cool look, a waggy frame would come out to about the same wheelbase. Luckily I have a lead on a section of frame for this truck.

Update: Hood and razor grill obtained, as well as a couple of wagon wheels since a factory wheel had a rot hole all the way through

Almost got her running the other day, but lost spark. We think it’s the BID distributor, so currently either going to rebuild it or swap to another electronic  ignition system

That’s really good then!

My brother has the hood bar for a razor grille, if you need one I can see if he’d sell it. For what it’s worth, I’m running a used DUI distributor in my Eagle and it’s been great. The only time I lost spark was when the ignition control module went out.
