1987 Sports Bar & Lights

Hey everyone,

 

I just got my 1987 Jeep Comanche Pioneer Sports Bar powder coated and I am ready to get some lights for it. I'm looking for something similar to the original ones but hopefully brighter. Any ideas on what sport bar & fog lights are out there that would look awesome on my Comanche. I am looking to keep both sports bar and fog lights the same and I do like the square lights over the circle lights.

I think I understand your question but you’re all over the place amigo. So you have your bar that has been freshly powder coated and you’re looking for lights that are within the correct era when the MJ was around. Well Marchals/Cibie are the most correct bust most expensive unless you know where a bunch of 80’s fords and Lincoln’s are to snag the Marchals from them. ROLs are period correct and found on 89-91 MJ and XJ. Blazer lights are found on 92-96 XJ and probably the easiest to obtain. You might get lucky looking up vintage fog/driving lamps on eBay. KCs we’re a popular option but they’re expensive too. Hella also makes some good lamps. I had both 550’s and 450 comets and both produced some damn good light.

You have to go with Marchals when you have an ‘87 and such a nice OEM bar. They come in black and chrome. These are 850’s on the bar and 750’s on the grill guard.

Regarding the sports bar, does anyone know the size screws it takes? I'm missing one and would like to replace it with an OEM piece if possible.

Good luck trying to find square KCs lol, I looked forever. These were cheap and I think they look pretty great.
