Hey dudes.

Anyone got info on the Jeep hood emblems? I assume all Manches had them? My comanche got a fresh coat of paint at some point, and my emblem is long gone. I assume all MJs and XJs had these? Adhesive, as well? Or were any hard mounted?

Is there a good source for a replacement/installation?

Thanks!

Up to 90 they used pins with speed nuts, 91-92 were adhesive. The emblems are also different between those generations.

Interesting. Mine's an 88 and I can't see any pin marks. I'll have to pop the hood and see if I can see anything from underneath.

The header panel could have been replaced with a later style or the holes were filled in during body work. I prefer the ones with pins, no guessing for placement.

I would assume they were covered up. I didn't know they had pin holes, so I hadn't looked that closely. I'll be able to find out for sure, tomorrow. They didn't paint the underside of the hood, so should be able to tell.

Would anyone happen to know a decent source for a reproduction, or the correct spacing measurements on the OEM emblems?

I assumed he meant the Jeep on the header. This is what you’re looking for, correct?

That's correct! Dunno the correct term for it, but emblem still seems right, and you guys knew what I meant.

Did all jeeps come with these? I've seen a few without. I assume they were just removed, as well.

Does anyone have the correct measurements to use as a reference for those of us replacing ours?
