Pete M
if that was near me, I'd already be there. renix era are full of good parts, even if it doesn't have a 44. @eaglescout526
AdroitKirby
I work a 48 hr shift until Sunday morning, so I'm trying to plan what I'm going to be pulling from it Entrance fee is free that day but then I'm driving 2 hrs to pick up that soft topper and then 5 hrs to pick up my MJ from my hometown. I feel like I'm pretty oblivious of the RENIX stuff whenever I go look at a RENIX XJ. Here's hoping the interior is still good!

Pete M
well, I don't see the 44 listed outright (don't see a 35 either so the axle code might just be missing), but I do see a trailer package.
AdroitKirby
Thanks eaglescout! Would I want to be looking for D44 for the gearing? Junkyard listed it as a 4x4 Also, what could I grab from a trailer package? Also, also, what's the high emissions control package?
Pete M
the only thing useful to you out of the tow package will be the d44 if it's indeed there. the hitch of an XJ doesn't fit an MJ. the gearing is matched to the drivetrain, so the 44 would have the same 3.55 gearing as any other 4.0L/auto MJ/XJ. AdroitKirby
Ah gotcha, I got the 3.07 on my D44. If I ever convert to a 4WD, is there even a D30 geared in 3.07 for he front or do I just have to find the gearing for a D44 to match the front? Pete M
sure. any 4.0l/stick/4wd will have 3.07 up front. but 3.55 is better. but I wouldn't necessarily grab that particular dana 30 because 3.55 is the most common ratio in XJs and later years have bigger ujoints and don't have a CAD. if that XJ has a 44 rear, I would grab it regardless of whether or not I needed it. AdroitKirby
Oh, gotcha. I'll probably ask again what I should be looking for once I start looking to covert to 4WD

eaglescout526
That’s a D44. And those seats look to be in great shape.

eaglescout526
Man that was a nice blue interior 87. Do the rear doors have their switches and wiring harness?
AdroitKirby
They looked pretty intact to me. Truck just got here but I'm not coming back till a week from now
eaglescout526
If the rear switches and harnesses are still there, I would be interested.
