Muncher
I followed the yellow wire out of the bulkhead all the way to the alternator and it's got 12 volt all the way. Does that flow go into the other wire coming out or the alternator? If so that one only has .442 volts. I'm just more confused now lol
Muncher
I checked all the yellow wires from relays and in the icm with ignition on and no power along with the 3 yellow in the ecu. Maybe the new one I have is bad?
Muncher
Switched my ecu back to my orginial one. Now my fuel gauge works and I have 12v in one of the big diagnostic ports. Seems like no power to the icm still though
cruiser54
Pin B8 should have power at the ECU with key on. Pin B7 should have battery power even with the key off.
Muncher
Which side is the b side?
Muncher
This is the only pin with the only substantial voltage on it with the ignition off.
Muncher
The same one had 12v with ignition on but nothing else has over a volt with ignition on
cruiser54
Wiring diagram doesn't say. It's marked on the ECU connector.
Muncher
Oh I thought you meant the diagnostic port not the ecu ports. I'll check those tommrow.
Muncher
@cruiser54 I checked both connectors and every pin and none of them have 12v
cruiser54
see if any of the fusible links are melted.
Muncher
I checked them all they all had 12v. I changed out my starter relay with a new one I had as well. Also I only have 3 fuseable links at mine. Is that just a 89 harness thing or because I don't have ac on this harness?
cruiser54
Where exactly did you check the fusible links for power?
Muncher
I checked them all at the head of the starter relay and then before and after each fuseable link a little further down the wires.
Muncher
Is there any wires I should just re do? Luke maybe the yellow ignition wire right out of the firewall and wire it straight to wherever it goes? I know the yellow wire has 12v all the way till I can't tell where it goes anymore . cruiser54
I bet you're losing everything at the C100 connector below the brake booster.
Muncher
Do you mean the c101c harness? I don't have ohe in this generation of harness.
Muncher
Or do you mean the big bulkhead connector? I have 12v coming out of wires on the firewall side
cruiser54
The bulkhead connector is the C100. Power to all the fuses?
Muncher
Yep. I tried them all last night.
Muncher
Plus all my gauge lights and dome lights work.
cruiser54
So, you're not getting battery power or switched power to the ECU, correct? None at the pins I gave you to check or anywhere else on the ECU?
Muncher
Correct there are power at some with ignition on but it was only like .422 volts
cruiser54
Some sensors use a 5 volt reference voltage. I gotta go to work soon. Check that flat 6 wire connector at the passenger side inner fender.
Muncher
The one the yellow wire goes in?
