Muncher
Starting issues. So my I just out a new harness and engine in my comanche and now it's turning over but not starting. Has compression and gets air just tested a spark plug and it had spark as well. Before I put the engine in I turned they key and watched fuel come out of the hose closest to the intake so I think it's getting it to the rail. Would this possibly be my cps? 4.0 5 speed
Ωhm
Using a voltmeter or 12vdc testlight (preferred) check for Battery_Voltage_(B+) on the following pins (use battery_negative terminal for ground): D1_5: B+ (Hot at all times) D2_4: B+ (Hot during KEY ON/CRANKING). D1_6: KEY ON (B+ (Hot for 2-3 seconds)) or CRANKING (B+ (Hot during CRANK)).
Muncher
So do I need to have it cranking while I test these? And what do they mean if not Power.

You should see voltage (B+) on those pins while cranking. 17 minutes ago, Muncher said: And what do they mean if not Power. D1_5: Fusible Link for Fuel Pump Relay. D2_4: Ignition Switch. D1_6: Fuel Pump side of the Fuel Pump Relay.
Muncher
So I do know my trucks fuel pump is active when I crank it. Is that what that would be testing for.
Ωhm
D1_5 & D1_6 would be fuel pump circuit tests. D2_4 checks for IGN SW (I1) voltage. Do you have the fuel pump ballast resistor?
Muncher
No I do not. Nothing on the driver side fender well

Just needed to be sure your fuel pump wasn't getting its voltage just from the Starter Relay during CRANK.
Muncher
Yeah it gets it before crank in the accessory position

It was just coming out of the small rubber hose that connects to the fuel rail at the time. It would just pour out when I hit the button. Is that bad? KA88MJ
It never hurts to check the crankshaft position sensor.

Will it start if you spray starting fluid in the throttle body?

He has spark -- but he hasn't conformed that the spark is occurring when the #1 cylinder is at or near top-dead-center on the compression stroke. He could have the distributor installed 180 degrees out of time.

Started putting my interior in and now no spark again and the fuel pump does not prime.
