best tire size to keep the original look

Wondering what tire size is best to keep the original look on a 1989 Comanche 2wd base model 4.0L

Depends on what you’re after besides look. Factory tires were 195-225. 225 being recommended for tow and metric ton packages. 235’s are the highest our MJs can take before you start getting into rubbing and possible cutting of the fender wells.

what he said.  I like a good 235/75 since it's juuuuuuuust a hint bigger than factory max.

235-75-15s look just right on a stock truck. And are probably the only relevant 15" size where you still have a decent choice of tires.
