Currently in search for 84-86 XJs with the selec-trac 4wheel drive set up. The mode shifter and other things associated with the set up. I need the following:

Mode shifter assembly, this shifts the t-case from 2wd-4wd on the fly

No 21 in this pic. I will try my 207 lever when it is out if nothing pops up.

Parts can also be found on SJ's as well.

Hmmm, I wonder if anything is interchangeable with my Eagle t-case. From my understanding, the NP128/129 was nearly identical, it just didn’t have low range.
I won’t have it out for a while, but let me know if there is anything you’d want from it.

Will do! Someone has me covered for most, if not all the parts I need for this swap. But I’ll keep ya in mind if I come to find I’m missing something. Thank ya!

Bump. I need the vac shift motor/actuator and the shift plate bolted to the t-case that changes the mode. I’ll find some diagrams and update the first post with them.
228/9 was found under SJs and XJs.

Yes haha. I am currently watching that one. I figured I would reach out here first and see if anyone can locate an older XJ. I need the plate that the rod at the end of the actuator bolts into as well, my 229 is missing that plate but I have to take it apart as I can not get it to change from 4wd back to 2wd.

I can verify that the Eagle's vacuum shift mechanism is the same as the jeep one. When I swapped a 229 into my eagle everything bolted right up and works great.

So I can use an Eagle set up too? Great to know actually.
