Valve cover baffles

In the process of doing the valve cover mod and just wanted to confirm one last thing. Got the baffles measured out to be cut down 1”. The new 1/2” hole goes on the back side above the previous hole or on the side which will face towards the back of the valve cover? Thanks all

Chop 1 inch off each of them. Then, drill a half inch hole as shown in the photo. The flat side of the flute that’s closest to the edge of the valve cover.

Thank you, I did look at the write up on your website before I posted the question. It just didn’t seem clear to me. I already have one hole in each of those. Am I just widening the existing hole to 1/2”? Sorry, maybe it’s just me…
