23 spline 231 installed on my new to me ax15 lucky me this ax15 looks to be from a xj :)

Did a mock up of the steering column today. Gotta weld the dash bracket tomorrow and drill holes for the lower mounts on b pillar.

Got the dash lined up heater box mounted and steering column mounted. Now comes wiring and finish mounting dash. Welded the donor dash mounts in.

 

 

 

Also started cleaning up the manual doors for the manche.

Dash is in. Heater box is in. Steering column is in. Now to start running wires. Anyone got mj bucket seat mounts they’d trade for a blue bench seat?

Also picked up a 200 dollar xj for a couple pieces and the 2 door seats that flip toward now to find a mj seat brackets.

Dash is in 100. Got a bunch of wires ran lot more to go. Picking up my 4.0 from storage this week to fresh it up.

No they aren’t. Gonna wait til I get some other  stuff done to tackle that.

Both doors and both fenders are on. Gotta readjust the doors a little bit to fix a couple body lines. But other than that now it’s onto brake lines fuel line and finding a ax15 cross member and bracket. :/

Started wiring the 97 tail light harness and ripped out all the old brake and fuel lines. Now gotta order new lines and stuff. Carpet should be here this week so I can finish up the interior

Also removed all the old brake and fuel lines. Running new brake lines to the back and deleting the load sensing bull crap. Gonna be running a xj gas tank and pump.

Yeah I’m using the stock 97 xj tank.

My carpet came in!

extended the 97 tail light harness to reach to the Comanche bed. Screw wire loom that $#!& sucks to get wire into. My fingers are toast.

Bought new carpet but decided to try to fit 97 front carpet in the cab instead. Had to trim the back some and one the sides and then make cuts for the seat bolts. Actually worked out pretty good. Should clean up pretty good. 
 

 

not pictured but I threw my bench seat in to see how it looked and felt still undecided. But this is how a 97 center console looks lol

Got a little bit done today. Took the bench seat off the brackets drilled them farther back so now it’s perfect I’m 6’3”. Plan to go bucket seats eventually this bench seat is shot. Got that back in just gotta bolt the seat belts back down. Also got the ax15 bolted to the motor. Put a new pilot bearing and throw out bearing on as well. got the motor in and bolted down. Still gotta source a cross member and bracket. Unless I go long arms…

an upholstery shop can make it better than new.

Cut down a xj headliner and put new fabric on and got that in the Comanche. Here’s the dimensions if anyone is wondering.

also cut down a scrap center console I had still undecided. Definitely gonna paint it black or grey. 

 

that’s it for now. Haven’t had a lot of time lately.

Ran some vacuum lines and got the steering shaft hooked up to a 98 xj steering box I swapped in. Gotta order some miscellaneous parts here and there to finish it up

My new exhaust came in (manifold to tcase) well part of it. Walker brand.

Yeah you can get manifold all the way to the rear exit still it all either welds or clamps together. I was surprised too
