EUREKA
I was cleaning the contacts of my coil as part of preventive maintenance and noticed it appears to be original. In terms of reliability, would it be best to replace the coil with a new one, or stick with 'ol trusty?
jdog
Stick with the old one if you're not having issues with it
eaglescout526
If it ain’t broke don't fix it. I’ve been learning that the original stuff rarely seems to fail(knock on wood). Id trust those Renix stamped coils.
EUREKA
I suspected you guys might say that. Thank you.
cruiser54
Keep the Renix. No CRAP. Chinese Replacement Auto Parts.

Btw, I'm well on my way to completing all of your renix tips. Thank you for all of your contributions to the community! What about the factory 5 terminal relays, would replacing them with new Bosch relays improve reliability? I'm sure the contacts inside the original relays must have built some carbon on the contacts of the springs are tired by now.

Mopar has their own ones too. I think I’ve got more than a few of those to spare.

I see the Mopar ones are $21.66 new vs Bosch at $8.69. Do you think Mopar are better? I believe Cruiser said somewhere that Bosch were the best replacement relays. I know I'm being a bit tedious replacing parts that are not bad, and not part of regualr maintenance.
eaglescout526
Damn Mopar ones are a fortune!! I thought they were cheaper but then again I always snagged them from the bad fuse/relay centers which is why I have a bunch.
cruiser54
But, are the Bosch ones made in China?
