Just shipped a d44 rear complete to Arizona on a pallet to a residential address for 389$ (business with loading dock would be maybe 100$ or more cheaper)

For shipping axles, check with fastenal. They ship an axle strapped on a pallet almost anywhere to one of their stores for $200 or less. For axles that weight less than 150lbs use FedEx ground and just plastic wrap the axle and slap a label on it. No LTL freight needed. Shipped many an axle that way
