VintageJC Posted July 14, 2021 Posted July 14, 2021 (edited) On my 88 Comanche, the driver's side Vent Window keeps fall off of its bottom pivot point. The passenger side is fine. Looks like there is a pin that is either broken off or bent. Curious if anyone has advice on how to fix this. I haven't taken the door apart yet but it's hard to tell exactly what this is and how to fix it. Thank you!!! Edited July 15, 2021 by VintageJC Fix picture
jdog Posted July 15, 2021 Posted July 15, 2021 Picture didn't work for me but if it is where I'm thinking it is and it's the bottom of the glass. It would probably be easier to replace it, they used that window from 84-96 and in cherokees
Pete M Posted July 15, 2021 Posted July 15, 2021 is it at all rusty in the frame at the lower pivot point?
VintageJC Posted July 15, 2021 Author Posted July 15, 2021 Jdog - Thx for your response. I posted a new picture above so maybe it works this time. I'll take out the entire triangle glass and check it out. As you said, may be easiest to try that first. However if you could see my picture, you'll notice the pivot point that is part of the door seems messed up. Pete M - Thx for your response as well. Hopefully you can see the picture above. Yes the pivot is rusty and looks deformed.
rokinn Posted July 15, 2021 Posted July 15, 2021 The pin or pivot is broken and is not fixable. You need to find another wing window or at least the frame the glass is in and replace it.

VintageJC Posted July 15, 2021 Author Posted July 15, 2021 Thanks so much. I'll start hunting for parts!
phatton Posted July 16, 2021 Posted July 16, 2021 Where are you located? I'm in North East PA and have a pair of vent wing doors.
