ratty
Hey again. My air vent stopped working. It also doesn’t work on heat or ac. It does work on defrost. Thanks in advance.
Pete M
chances are that's a vacuum leak in the system. the defrost is the default position of the diverter door.

Ok cool. Where would I find the hoses for all of that?
Pete M
the most common failure is the hose running into the Vacuum reservoir in the front bumper on the pass side. it's a black plastic ball or football. but it could be just about any vacuum line. how's the idle of the engine? jeepmjga
Like they said prob a vaccuum leak. Follow the line from the canister to the line going into the firewall. Look for a red line, might be pink or white depending on how faded it is.
All around mj
You might also check the elbows to your vacuum lines and make sure they aren’t pushed down so far to create a blockage in your vacuum system. That’s what ended up happening to mine.

cruiser54
Highly unlikely. Can you feel good vacuum where the hose goes from the engine bay to cabin?

I found it! It was a tiny crack in a grey vacuum hose that goes into the firewall. Crazy
