Rokhound Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Went wheeling today and bent the passenger side lower control arm bracket where is the best/cheapest place to get them from. Or does some one have a set they would sell I need them within 2 weeks. I have a local run coming up and need to get this fixed. Thanks
Rokhound Posted November 12, 2007 Author Posted November 12, 2007 i will tomorrow. So where is the best place
LEAD_NOT_FOLLOW Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Jeepers Creepers in MI sells an updated heavy duty version.
Renegade Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 I ripped a LCA mount off my TJ's D30 & a local shop replaced it. I thought it was a Rubicon Express part & it was strong. Basically a chunk of 3/16 wall square tube cut to shape with a bolt hole in it. I had them skidplate the other LCA mount & box the pass. side upper mount right away. That is how the factory SHOULD have built'em.
TNT Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Rustys has them for big $. Try this link they have them at a good price but you need to know what angle you need. http://www.polyperformance.com/shop/product.php?productid=367&cat=158&page=1
pingpong Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 please reweld all factory welds on the axle, and add skid plating. This isnt the first time I have seen or heard of this happening
Rokhound Posted November 12, 2007 Author Posted November 12, 2007 Yeah my thought was/is to take all the factory stuff off and put on some kind of after market set up  I will have to get pics of this today. All I can say is the MJ and the skinny pedal went together yesterday. I have been doing some searching and surfing here is what I came up with so far. And here is the thing they have one with a slotted hole and then they have there Jeep speed with a regular whole which one should I get. TNT Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Thats some sweet carnage. I've seen them tear completely off before. Looks like its time to start cutting and welding. With real steel this time...
Rokhound Posted November 12, 2007 Author Posted November 12, 2007 thats the plan BMP had a new rubicon upper mount. And the lower mounts will be coming from some place I am lean toward T and T Customs. I can get a set for 40 shipped for 10. So that will put me at 70 total for parts so under a 100 and this thing should be back under my truck.
TNT Posted November 12, 2007 Posted November 12, 2007 Just be sure to box the upper mount and put skids on the lower mounts. Here's a few Jeep speed mount pictures. They use some nice brace work and shock mounts. Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found Image Not Found
