Front vs Rear lift heights

I used the search function and didn't find the answer, so here goes.

 

Ordered a 3" spring pack from Hells Creek suspension.

Staying Spring Under Axle.

What height front lift would work to be level or slightly raked towards the front still?

 

My go-to place for my XJ suspensions is DPG offroad and Dirk's awesome 3.5" OME kit.

Will this sit too high in front or should I go down to his 2.5" front kit?

 

Plan is 31" tires and Napier fender flares.

 

Jeep will be daily driver, with mild desert overlanding and camping use. My TJ is for the rocks! 

 

Any help is appreciated.

chances are good that brand new springs will sit a bit higher than you want until they break in.   

 

I would go with the 3.5 and if later down the road you need a bump in the back, add the longer shackles.

Stock rake is near 2” IIRC. And yeah, like Pete said, those 3” springs will sit higher and may not settle for a while unless you have some weight back there. 3” rear and 4.5” front would be close to level once it all settle with just a bit of a rake. Not a bad idea to go lower up front though like a 3.5” as Pete suggests since it’s easy to add a small puck to achieve the desired ride height.
