hbhp5
91 Comanche 4.0. 5 spd stick. Replaced head gasket, radiator, all water hoses. Just upgraded intake, added riser. New PS steer pump. New plugs, throttle control, air intake control, fuel pres reg, exhaust sensor, breather. Now: Idling at 1200, starts hard, with warm restart stumbles twice within 30 seconds. Then runs perfect. Has me puzzled.
zaconrad
This might sound kind of stupid but I would check to see if the spark plug wires are on all the way. I had a problem where I wasn't able to push the plug wires on all the way. I had to push up the plug boot and put the wire on the spark the plug directly on then slide the boot back over the connection.
Pete M
I would check for vacuum leaks, especially around the manifolds
ghetdjc320
When you mentioned you upgraded the intake, I’m assuming you did the 99+ intake which also would require the ps pump. What gasket did you use for the manifold to head? I’d double check for vacuum leaks around the gasket and make sure all your vacuum ports are connected or plugged. Did you use the new throttle body or your old 91 one?
grumpiebill
I would check for vacuum leaks, especially around the manifolds I echo this advise. The rear pin can be a challenge to get lined up. Ask us how we know...Sent from my SM-T510 using Tapatalk
