Thats not a bad deal at all assuming the tailgates are halfway decent.

That's a helluva deal IMO. That one bedside alone is worth that if that's truly all the rust on it. As always......."if you were only closer"!

rust in that location makes me think of only one thing, bed rot inside.   still a decent deal for all he's offering.

but these are just the outside panels, so what you see is what you'd get, right?

I guess it's possible that a scratch on the outside caused this, but in my northern experience, what you see on the outside of a bed fender is 100 times worse on the inside because it started on the inside.   but the pic is pretty crappy so anything is possible.   I would ask for more photos.

That is rotten through so as Pete said it will be much worse on the other side, regardless of which side it started on.  Once it rusts through, the backside isn't protected as well so it always spreads faster on the back.  I'd bet 3"-5" around that hole on the backside will be rusted and each flare mounting hole will have at least a little surface rust on the backside.  Still though this is a very usable and easily repaired bedside, especially since it can be patched and properly painted before being put on the truck.
