CurtisDgls
1988 Jeep Comanche -Eliminator Package -4.0, AX15, Dual NP 231 T-cases -D30 up front, Ford 8.8 in the rear -There is no sticker on the door area -Current location is Arlington, WA -Still registered in Oregon (Place I purchased it) -Runs and drives I bought this Comanche on January 1st, 2021 and drove down to North Oregon to trailer it back. I have been looking for a wheeling rig for a while but didn't want the usual Toyota or YJ wheeler. I stumbled across this Manche for a good price and with the things that have been done already, I figured it would be a great starting point for a weekend wheeler/daily driver. I am aware that 88' Eliminators came only in 2wd but the previous owner converted it to 4wd. Carpet is gone, missing some interior pieces, and has worn out Jeep Cherokee seats. -Smittybuilt Bumpers front and rear -Warn M8000 Winch -Rubicon Express 6.5'' Lift -Iron Rock off road 1 ton Steering -Rock Box with Dual NP231 T-Cases -Unibody and steering box stiffeners all around It came with a D30-D35 combo, but the D35 had a howl so I built a fresh 8.8 LSD with a truss to take the rears place. The front D30 will be getting LSD, Sleeved, Trussed, and re-geared as well to match the 4.88s in the 8.8. Looking for any and every Stat you can give me on this thing. I never realized how rare they were until purchasing mine and I love it.

CurtisDgls
I absolutely do intend on a build thread! I like to document most of the stuff I do if I can for those who get stumped much like I do on things.

CurtisDgls
Is there any way at all to find out what production number my truck is for that year? Or what number Eliminator it was for that year?
Torq_Shep
Not really. The best you will be able to do is to look at the vehicles close to it in the registry excel sheet. There are, unfortunately, no known metrics for numbers of each trim.
Pete M
that level of info was unfortunately lost before it got to chrysler's computers. that's why we're doing the registry, so we can piece it back together as best we can. 8-12-87 is a super early Eliminator though.
